Hello escapist. My current laptop is getting outdated and worn-out, so I figured it's time to buy a new one, preferable one who can run the newest games. Unfortuneatly, i'm a complete idiot when it comes to knowing whats good and whats not for having a good gaming laptop. So please help out a noob like me? :=)

So here's two gaming laptops I run across so far.

Samsung NP-RF710-SO6DE-I7-720

Processor = Intel core i7-720qm (1,6GHz)
Graphics = Nvidia Geforce gt420m (2048mb)
RAM = 6GB
Hardisk = 1TB

Asus g73jh-gamestar notebook

Processor = Intel core i7-720qm (1,6GHz)
Graphics = ATI radeon hd5870 (1024mb)
RAM = 4GB
Hardisk = 640GB

Price for both laptops = 1500 euros

As for what games I want this computer to be able to play without any trouble (with decent/good graphics).

Released games:

All valve titles out there
Mass effect 1 & 2
Dragon age origins
Empire total war
Battlefield 2 & 2142
Starcraft 2

Unreleased games:
Mass effect 3 (requirements not released yet, but the game specifications should only be slightly higer than ME2)
Portal 2
Dragon age 2 (recommended Requirements posted below)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz Processor or equivalent
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 Triple core 2.8 GHz or equivalent
RAM: 2GB (4 GB Vista and Windows 7)
Video: ATI 3850 512 MB or greater
Video: NVIDIA 8800GTS 512 MB or greater
DirectX 11: ATI 5850 or greater
DirectX 11: NVIDIA 460 or greater

So here is my questions:

Are these two laptops I mentioned even good? For the price and being able to run the games I mentioned, or should I simply cough up some more money and buy a more expensive laptop (say. The Alienware M17x)?
