So I'm seriously considering suicide.

So I know that this isn't a place where I should/can vent my feelings, but everyone on here has always helped me out before so I'm really hoping someone can now. Simply put for the past few months everything has been going terribly in my life. Girlfriend broke up with me, friends turned into enemies, parents ignoring me and favoring my brother, all the while my depression (which I though had gone away) has been growing and growing. My life, up to this point, has been relatively easy to deal with. But everything happening at once really makes it hard to cope. I'm sure that someone on here has been in a worse situation then this, so I'm asking this from anyone. How do you deal with this?

I felt like that once. I was at the point of writing a note, when I realised that if I went through with it, I was removing the one thing we all should hold onto: hope. I know things look like shit now, but they will get better, if you let them. Join a club, get a hobby (mine's writing fiction) and things will improve. Trust me, I was where you are only four months ago. Give yourself a chance to be happy!
Good luck!

Rather than the advice most offer..."stick in there", "life isn't so bad", etc. Here's the pulse. Life can always get worse, always. That's a promise, but on the flip side...life can and will get better with positive thinking and motivating yourself to control your life. Guess what...you already do. Nobody controls how you feel. Nobody, but you. If you wanna feel better about yourself, write down 3 things your proud of every day. Doesn't matter what they are, just write them down and tell SOMEBODY. Doesn't matter who, a teacher, a counselor, your dog, a stranger.

Here's the other part aside from all that, talk to someone that is a licensed professional. It helps, I promise. I've been there, and the professionals don't spend many years getting a masters because it doesn't work. Don't just talk to them though, talk to your parents. They might favor your brother, but most parents love their children reguardless of favoritism. Tell them that you have a real problem, that you're depressed, and that you need help. If they ignore you or brush it off, then speak to your school guidance counselor to get some backup from someone to support you. Support helps in all cases of depression. That's the best I got. Don't just bottle up and hope things will get better. You...YOU...have to take action to help yourself. Nobody can help you if you aren't willing to do something to help yourself.

I recommend "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. Won't cure your depression completely but if you're anything like me, the book will be a HUGE help.

Please see a licenced professional. I myself am a Youth Ambassador, I handle this stuff etc but I am not someone who can help (especially over the net) to directly help the situation. we can give you advice on where to turn, such as Kids Help Line (not sure if America has one/number) but also if it helps, check out a site called Reachout! US [http://us.reachout.com/] Which also help provide some facts and advice on who and where you can turn to. (I myself work for the Australian Reachout!)

Life does suck, I can tell you right now it's not easy, I'm still pulling myself from insanity and immense depression, but as long as I can keep walking forward, I can find my way, and so can you. If you ever need an ear to listen, don't hesitate to PM me.
