And, what kind of parent will you be?

Since my character, Oslo, is a cold-blooded murderer, who does both good deeds and bad, I am going to raise my kid to be just like me, in as many ways possible.

Brilliant. I can use them as invulnerable shields. Tell them to wait in a narrow hallway inbetween you and your enemies, hide behind them and fire off as many arrows or spells as you like over their head.

Didn't they say you would be able to do this in the vanilla game?
People say a lot of things they don't actually do.

Looking at you, Molyneux.

OT: 'Fus-ro-dah'-ing the little shits off of cliffs doesn't sound like a bad idea...

Well that's neat I guess. Will there be any kids worth adopting, though... (no, the answer is no)

I wouldn't want to adopt one. I'd be busy trying to pass on my dragonborn blood to my next of kin through Jordis, (Though, ironically I am Argonian but Racial Phyneology said it was possible).

Oh no, god forbid you can roleplay in a roleplaying game!
So the sims is an RPG now is it?

When does it stop being RPG and start being a fucking around simulator?

Well, it all depends on what kind of dialogue they'll have. It would be cool teaching a kid how to fight, how to honour the gods and the old ways and to watch them aspire to be a proud warrior of the Stormcloaks. Since the character I am playing is in his late 50's/early 60's, he will need someone to take up his sword against the Empire and the Thalmor after his passing.

If it is done right, this could actually be pretty cool.

Fixed that for you.

Also...I don't get what the big deal is with the guys who complain. You can marry, and there are mods to have children. Now you have the completely optional choice to get children without other mods. It's not like you have to. But...wait, I suppose you're right - it's piece of content definitely not for this game. In fact, I'll immediately petition Bethesda to remove houses and marriage - it just gets in my way of killing stuff. I think I can live without cities, too. In fact, they should have just made the game a giant dungeon and that's it.

The sims can be played as an RPG even though its a sim. Also you pretty much described entertainment of all types when you said "fucking around simulator". Think before you fly into a fit of angsty rage or you could just like not buy the dlc bro.

Also sounds cool although I doubt I'll use it.

Edit: forgot to spoiler hugepic

The point of roleplaying games is to play a role. If that role includes being a nice guy who will adopt and look after an orphan child, so much the better.

Don't you mean you can adopt that one kid, since there is only one child in Skyrim. It's just everywhere

Uh, why? I'm not really a Skyrim fan and I don't know much about this update, but why would you want to adopt a kid? I remember having a family in Fable, but they were pointless, other than my wife being fun to murder when I got bored. Other than the Sims, I don't see why you need kids in any game.
