Yes I know he didn't direct or write the screenplay for it but hes the one who came up with the story so you know he pretty much was deciding how it would play out. I for one think it looks awful. It will be filled with horrid acting, terrible dialogue, and the overall message will be something like the "devil" is inside all of us and humans have the capacity to do great evil. It will probably be delivered as if he was the first person to come up with it ever when theres been thousands of examples littered throughout history.

Heres the trailer for those who haven't seen it

So do you guys think it will bomb? Or will it be M. Night's return to glory?

A easy flop, 5 people in a elevator one is the killer, I don't think that he's even trying anymore...

No, I won't be paying to see it. Ever. This guy's a hack now, and he hasn't even made something worth laughing at since Lady in the Water.

Look's bad, like 'The Happening' bad.

Bomb's at box office and the main reason it will sell DVD's is for the inevitable Rifftrax

Hell no, after his ripping apart of the The Last Airbender I will have nothing to do with that man and his crappy movies. I'm pretty sure that movie is the final nail in his coffin movie wise.

I refuse to see anything by Shyamalan without Marky Mark in the lead roll. Can you say "Comedy Gold"?

In all seriousness, I'm not exactly sure the direction of the design of this trailer.

I was under the impression he wasn't directing it.Apparently I'm correct, if the poster above me is right.

I might see it. I haven't been as...critical of his films, especially The Happening, which I actually enjoyed.

It still looks like an interesting film by its own merit.

Hi. I'm someone who pays attention to things. Apparently I'm the only one of my kind anywhere near this thread.

M. Night Shyamalan is not directing this movie. Nor is he producing this movie. Nor did he write the screenplay. In fact, the only real way he's connected to this movie is because the story was his idea.

Shyamalan has about as much to do with this movie as Tom Clancy has to do with any videogame that's ever bore his name.

Way to do your research, pricks. And don't even pretend like this trailer didn't have you absolutely hooked right up until Shyamalan's name popped up.

Y'know what? Fuck it. I'm seeing it. And y'know what? I'm gonna talk about it. In this forum. Constantly. Whether I like the movie or not. The judgmental attitude in this thread has made me that angry.

Why would you get so pissed?

It is very obvious the dude has been getting worse at making movies. His big thing was shocking twist endings, after the Sixth Sense and Unbreakable (One of my favorite movies) he has produced nothing above C grade work (Ever sense The Happening and Avatar, my poop is better produced than those movies).

Just because he gave us two great movies doesn't mean we can't shit on him. Thats like saying "Why are you guys being so mean to Mr. Smith? He gave us a pen that never runs out of ink! Sure he molested a kid or two. BUT THE PEN NEVER RUNS OUT OF INK! Same difference.

I know he isn't directing the movie, but just having an affiliation drives many people (including me) away. Besides I already called bullshit on the movie even before I saw his name, so it was just the icing on the cake.

Calm down. I have never seen some one get so mad from what people over the Internet are saying.
