So is Michael Thomsen just trolling?

I have been reading some articles the past few days from this Forbes contributor Michael Thomsen, and I truly believe this guy is just trolling to get recognition. Here are three of his articles that made me giggle.

Some side notes:

Yes, I am indeed a fan of Dark Souls. This is not, however, a post to defend dark souls in any way.I just would like to see other peoples opinions on this guy's writing.

Well reading the Valve anti-cheat article does outline the man as a fan of trolling, as he encourages cheater "culture" purely to breed conflict as any troll would do. But since he makes an effort writing these things lets at least call his work "nerd bait".

Some people just really like to argue about nonsense because it's fun for them and this is no doubt another example of it, this also pays his bills so feel free to support that or not...

The first article is wrong even in it's title. ALL games are a 'waste of our time'. That's their point, to waste free time in a way you find fun to do.

As for his dark souls 2 article. I skimmed some of it and stopped at a particular part. "I hated the first dark souls game." (or something like that.) The games aren't for him, and that's fine. But to then write an article about how bad DS2 is? Plus he uses very abstract ways to describe playing it. "ghosting" with the computer's code to make his character's limbs move? That's how you describe using a controller? He has no credibility with me even though I've never heard of his name before.
