Is it me or is the Escapist not even updating their front page anymore? They didn't even add the latest Judging by the Cover on Friday.

EDIT: I just noticed that the latest Cinemarter has been added to the Features feed on the main page so whoever is maintaining the site is doing so selectively. Presumably because they're not being paid enough.

I'm not sure. On the little list of updates, I see Recore as the latest ZP, but on the big gallery slideshow it still shows I Am Setsuna and it basically has for like 2 months now.

Oh they moved that to the "My Escapist" page after they created the Wild West subforum and people complained about seeing all the Wild West garbage threads on the main page.

All those PC Mustard Race jokes were posted months ago as a joke, but they're still there and still haven't been replaced with the actual proper content that's supposed to show on that page instead.

Yup. Allegedly it still has maintenance done by folks from Defy's sister sites but I wouldn't be surprised if that amounted to a once in a month "Nothing's on fire yet, carry on" kind of check. Hard to tell from the front end of course.

Like whenever I want to read Erin Dies Alone, I can usually skip ahead by one or two comics when viewing the one on the front page. Then it catches up later.

The autoplay is an embed of the site's Twitch channel, so I doubt they have any control over those ads. Similarly to how the search results page still has ads on it.

I do wish they didn't have that on autoplay though.

I'm wondering why Defy even bothers to keep The Escapist on life support. Why haven't they just cut their losses and be done with it? It's clear they're not supporting it anymore.
