...After being sunny and nearly 20°C last week. Neither of these ever seem to happen in Scotland at the appropriate times, so for them both to be happening within a week of each other, at the end of March/start of April, is just plain weird.

Anyone else have experiences of weird weather, or at least odd times for a specific weather?

Scotland always gets the crap weather :D

Don't know why I'm laughing though, I'm in the Midlands, which is next in line to get a nice bit of snow.

Here in Melbourne we can have drastic weather changes in just a few hours.

One minute it's freezing cold, then it will suddenly become hot without a cloud in the sky, then clouds will form and it'll pour down rain, and then it will become hot again but with the added bonus of thunder and lighning for the rest of the night.

All in one day.

Yeah I'm in canada too where it was a slightly damp day, then all of a sudden there was a heavy hail storm for about 5 minutes. Next day was sweater weather and quite sunny. Right now the temperature is -5 in my city with a high of 12 later with rain, which will be quite warm.

Don't make me jealous. The relative lack of snow in my area, combined with the scourge of an early spring, has made it so that I couldn't go skiing at all this year, which greatly succeeded in pissing me off.

Actually, come to think of it, the weather here is surprisingly nice for this time of year, I'm just bitter about the no skiing thing.

Early spring here in Nova Scotia is always a weird affair. You're never sure what you'll be getting, but you can be damn sure it will change at the drop of a hat.

A couple weeks ago we had a stretch of two glorious, sun drenched days where the temperature was around 30c. There wasn't a lick of snow on the ground either, seeing as we had some serious rain in the weeks prior. 2 days later, we dropped to -5c and had a blizzard.

Having the same weather in Sweden at the moment. Typical April weather for us at least... Keeps tricking us that the spring is finally here then BAM; snow and hail.

We had a week and a half of summer here in Rhode Island, and now it's super cold again, and we're going to get some more snow, supposedly.
I remember a little while ago, when scientists and stuff were saying that if we don't do something about global warming, we're going to get all sorts of crazy weather patterns and natural disasters and etc.
Now here we are, with crazy weather patterns and natural disasters and etc. And everyone's all confused.

We had a really, really, really hot 2 weeks in March in Germany, and suddenly its cold again. And we had virtually no snow or rain in the winter.
Oddly enough, that's almost exactly what's happened this winter/spring in Boston, despite being an ocean plus half a continent away. It snowed once extremely early at the end of October, and then almost not at all again until the last day of February. Then it was unseasonably hot for a week or two last month, almost like early summer, before abruptly going back to several degrees below freezing. Go figure.

It snowed in July in Ireland two or three years ago.
The odd thing is that it almost never snows in Ireland.

Snow, cold showers, icy winds and freezing temperatures must be definitive proof of global warming.

Well every childhood birthday I wished it would snow and then it one day it did. Strange thing was it was in the middle of May.
