So many choices!

So, long story short, I've got some extra cash to spend. And since I've got a week off from school, and I'm feeling a tad bored, what better way is there to spend it than on a new game?

However, I find myself dumbstruck when considering all the different choices, so I thought I'd ask for a little help.

I think you all can see where this is going, what game would you recommend that I spend my money on?

Here's a couple things to help narrow down the list:
-I'm looking for a game for PS3
-I'm looking for a game with a strong single-player portion
-Lately I've grown tired of FPS's, however Bioshock interests me
-I already own Uncharted 2

I hope that helps a bit, feel free to ask if there's anything else you'd like to know.

Any help and/or witty remarks would be very much appreciated. (Also, I'd really appreciate if you pointed out any grammatical or spelling errors you find, otherwise I will never improve)

Get God of War 3, ramp up the difficulty (to make it last a bit longer) and slaughter your way through ancient Greece.

FFXIII isn't bad either, if you're into JRPGs, but be warned, the first few hours are dreadful.

Can't say anything for GoW3 but Demon's Souls is an excellent choice, another good choice would be Dragon Age, I've dumped more than my fair share of time into that one.

As for games. The first two posts answered your question. I guess I'd add Heavy Rain.

Infamous, decent single player also a 3rd person shooter. There is always GoW which is great, heavy rain, TES: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Dragon Age Origins(So I've heard). So let me put it this way:

*Stars mean my personal recommendation

3rd person Shooter with sandbox elements: *inFAMOUS*
RPG: Fallout 3, *TES: Oblivion*, DA:O
Interactive story: *Heavy rain*
3rd person Hack and Slash: *GoW*

So pick based on what you really want. (Side note Fallout 3 and DA:O are on my to do list for playing don't think they're not stared for any reason besides that).

You're welcome. My entire post was pretty silly. I scoured that post with a fine tooth comb just to try and find something, it wasn't easy. Most people would never notice that. I make spelling errors all the time. You post was well written.

I'm glad you already got a lot of great suggestions. You'll be happy with all of these games I think.

I'm sure I will, now it's up to me to pick one of them. God of War 3 and FFXIII being the main candidates, any personal preference? (Just had a discussion with my dad and it turns out he's very interested in Heavy Rain, so I might get that one "for free").

Thats awesome about the "free" game.

As for which game to pick. Thats tough. I'll start out by saying that I only have an xbox. I would prefer to play GOW3 becuase I tend to shy away from RPGs in favor of more action oriented titles. If you love story though I'd think Final Fantasy would win in that category.
