So Meet the Pyro starts NOW

I had the countdown on my browser for the last couple of days, and I'm getting highly anticipated to finally see it.

So, any last minute predictions to what it's going to be like? Also, what do you think of the new game mode and items that are coming along with this update?

Also, please post your thoughts about Meet the Pyro after watching it.

I look forward to a ridiculously long TF2 session tonight with a stupid amount of people being Pyros.

No, really. I'm looking forward to that. A little lunacy is nice from time to time. And I'll be a Pyro too (it is my main class, after all), so I can't rightly complain.

Nothing can ever stack up to the game destroying awesomeness that was the Engineer update, so I don't anticipate it being that big of a deal.

As far as predicting quality of Meet the Pyro, it's pretty easy based on Offense, Defense, or Support.

1. Meet the Spy- Support
2. Meet the Medic- Support
3. Meet the Sniper- Support
4. Meet the Pyro- Offense
5. Meet the Soldier- Offense
6. Meet the Scout- Offense
7. Meet the Demoman- Defense
8. Meet the Engineer- Defense
9. Meet the Heavy- Defense

The rank can change within the groups, but if you don't have all the support classes in the current top 3, you have a bad opinion. Also, Meet the Spy is probably the greatest piece of game related media ever created.

Meet the Pyro could change all of this, but I'm holding on to realistic expectations of being freaking excited.

So that's why the Pyro is always laughing whenever I burn things to death. Makes sense now. If only that's what the game really looked like while playing as a Pyro. (Not surprised they didn't reveal it's identity.)

Well we FINALLY got to meet the team. Now what's next!?

It's pretty short. With the ridiculous wait we all had to suffer through to see this I was expecting something around the 8minute mark.

I thought Valve said they would reveal pyro's gender in his debut "meet the" video? Oh well. Overall I still say "meet the spy" is my favourite.

So, my list still stands. It only barely edges out Meet the Soldier though. I was really hoping it would reveal absolutely nothing whatsoever about who the Pyro was. Some things are better left to the imagination.

I thought it was funny and how they sidestepped the potential speaking/appearance issue itself...

I originally thought that the items we found in our inventories was actually objects of Poopy Joe's, such as the "Lint" was actually grey Rhesus Monkey Hair, Banana skins being his food and the journal being some sort of log of Poopy Joe's shortly before he got mutated by the australium, they noted that they had "high tech gear" that only protected his head which lead me to the theory that....


....Poopy Joe IS Pyro, his body would've been uprooted to something similar to a Human's and his intelligence being (somewhat increased) whilst his helmet prevented his head from changing at all and partially shielding it from the manliness of Australium.

Hence a Monkey-Headed Man Monkey creature. 0,0


The things such as the Cheese and the door latch....i just assumed the ship crashed into a cow Barn or something...but why noting that the Barn door latch having tiny horses inside is....mysterious to say the least, the capacitor would've implied that it was either intact because it was caused by SABOTAGE, or maybe it was intact debris from the crash...the Goldfish? Maybe the helmet was a Fishbowl...? (australium could be like radiation, except it can't get through glass?)


But if such a theory to exist, Vladimir Bananas would've crashed as well just to explain the duplicate Pyro on the other team, so they just dropped that off as a piece of lore...or something...?

Glad they didn't show the Pyro's actual face, instead making him/her/it into a demented, psychotic killing monster who believes he's in some rainbow unicorn land. The baby blue team were really cute too

That would work, if Poopy Joe wasn't in outer space, and you weren't gathering Austrailium to send to him in outer space with a rocket ship (Via the new Game play mode; Doomsday [http://www.teamfortress.com/pyromania/doomsday/]).

OT: I was actually really surprised that that's what is inside the Pyro's head. It makes it funny, but also it makes him really sad (He thinks he's making everyone happy; instead, he's killing them horrendously and with no remorse).

Still, one thing in the video makes me confused; in his head, the Engineer and Spy ride a Plush Unicorn bear thing... What was really going on there? O_O

Edit: Also, what about the Blue Pyro? He wasn't there! Does he think the same way? What does Red Pyro think of him? O__O

Maybe it's a potential red herring...maybe the Engineer might be able to produce some sort of mechanical mounting...machine, the Bucking Bronco, or possibly we're a 3rd person looking through the screen through Pyro's eyes, so we see blue spy and engineer, maybe the spy was red and Engineer was trying to get away?

The Pyro was the only RED team member we see in his vision, and a BLU spy could actually be a RED one.....hijacked by Spy?

Ya it's weird, probably a grain of salt for the moment. :x
