There's a lot of talk about AAA games lately, and I thought just to vary the topics up, I'd start a discussion on a little browser game from my childhood.
In a time where the one official Lego MMO ended in a craptacular flop lasting only just several months, Roblox is not only the best simulation of Lego building I've come across, but it also throws in the ability to script up some great games; plus some great destruction physics. I was surprised that Minecraft got so much recognition as a game where you can build anything out of the imagination while this game remained in obscurity, but I guess it's expected when most of the playerbase literally consists of a bunch of annoying preteens.
It's a kids game. A rather fun kid's game actually, if not considering its players. Before High School I frequented this game a LOT, and I still check in from time to time to see if anything's changed. Users of Roblox can build their own 'place', and can either make one whole game or just some random creations. While a lot of them are crude, there's actually a lot of good places that prove many children aren't idiots when it comes to programming or craftsmanship.
Anyone played the game before, or know people who played this game? Have you even heard of it?
