I don't get it. Whats so great about it? Yeah its graphics are good, but I must say I'm not a fan of Bethesda's story writers, so I can't say that'll be in its favor in my books. But there are dragons, so I guess its a point, but still....

Why even bother with this then? Why all the hype? Why am I SUPPOSED to be excited when I CLEARLY am NOT?

I don't think you are supposed to be excited. Anyway the appeal is in the size and openness of the world. Exploration, actual role playing, and other awesome stuff.

I have never played an Elder Scrolls game before today. That being said. After a few hours with it I would put it as just as great as Arkham City and MW3. Its not just the dragons. The combat, A.I. and world itself are all great and make this one of the best games of the year.

But also, DRAGONS kick ass.

So far, Skyrim is everything I wanted Oblivion to be more like. Bethesda haters, believe me when I say:

The world is lifelike around NPC people!

I know, it is crazy and unheard of, but it is true. I have expressed my dislike for Bethesda many times over but this one, this is a solid game any RPG fan needs to check out. Take all that exploration stuff people rave about but this time, add decent (not creepy/shitty) atmosphere to towns and its people.

Ever wanted a game where you can do just about anything you ever wanted in a videogame (and real life)? Yeah, Skyrim's that game. And if you can't do it yet, give it time, they'll make mods for it.

Because it doesn't appeal to your tastes for reasons known only to you.
