So, my buddy got Shogun2 which requires steam as so many things do these days.
In order for me to install it on my pc I need to go onto steam etc.
All of a sudden, all of my games begin dling 4-15gb updates. I had specifically set all of them to not dl anything without me saying so. I usually stick to offline mode to prevent such things.
My internet is awful, payments state that I use 700mb a day, 1-1.2gb on weekends. My meter and reality state I use 1-2gb every other week. Never the less, I end up paying all this overcharge.
Can anybody please explain to me why, "Do not update this game." always results in updates being made? And where is all my bandwidth going?
I'm over my bandwidth of 10gb a week ago and I've only used 1.8 so far with no wifi devices hooked up. There's a pass on the wifi so nobody should be mooching. I'm in Canada so that's probably half the problem.
