And why is it the Noir costume? >.>

I've played through most of the game so far with the Noir costume on, because it looks really good in the game. I was looking forward to the 2099 one, but it's too shockin' shiny for my tastes.

The only other one I have really played with for more than a couple minutes after unlocking is the dark suit you get after doing the Black Cat side missions. I find it too hard to see in darker conditions, though, so I tend to stick with Noir.

Share your love of the Noir costume here. Or...otrher, lesser costumes, I guess.

I love the Spiderpunk suit, the denim jacket and the shoes make a great urban outfit, I also like the cell shaded one because it looks like a character from "Who framed Roger Rabbit" beating the crap out of gangsters.

I will forever love that the Scarlet Spider costume special ability is to create clones. And that they chatter wondering which is the real one. Well played Insomniac, well played

The Negative suit was fun for a while, because I used to do photography and it was kind of cool looking at what actually looked like a moving negative for similar reasons you have to the cel-shaded one (which I don't think I've tried yet).

Once I unlocked the Homecoming/Stark suit, I basically just stuck with that one.

Its odd, because I didn't really like it in the movies, but it just looks really damn good in the game.

Can't beat the classic suit he starts off with. It's just a great design; sleek and simple. And the game textures it superbly.

Second place goes to the vintage comic suit for pretty much the same reason, only now it just pops against the background beautifully. Initially when I first saw it I kind of wished the entire game was cell-shaded, but the reason it stands out so well is because New York itself looks gritty and real.

Worst one is probably the red armored one.

By the way, for those of you who love Web Blossom (which is all of you), they're going to nerf it 'cause it's so powerful.

Haven't got many so far, but I think the punk suit suits his personality better during cutscenes with all those cheeky lines of his. I also find the textures to the homecoming suit curiously pleasing to look at. May be subject to change as more are unlocked.

I haven't even bothered to equip it, as the combat is far too much fun to bother with such auto-win gadgets. So that news isn't so bad.

Nerf webbing would be horribly ineffective.

I'm not too sad about it either, since even on Spectacular the game is not that hard once you have the dodging down. I think I heard they're actually going to patch in a harder difficulty (Ultimate).

Scarlet Spider is my favorite. I really like it's simple design. Just red tights with a blue sweatshirt. It's nice. My second favorite is the white 2099 suit followed by Insomniac's suit.

I'm a sucker for the white 2099, Fear Itself, and Iron Suit. Not for abilities or anything, they just look really cool. Least favorite would most likely be the various armored suits. They kinda look silly.

Balance patches in singleplayer/non comp games have always struck me as weird. I remember Salt and Sanctuary nerfing the Dragonfire spell (which was already kind of obnoxious to get) and just kind of being like "Why bother?". Do they have to pay Sony compensation everytime someone gets a trophy or something.

Most of the suits are too busy or shiny for me as I lean towards minimalist design. The Dark Suit (from Black Cat) was my favorite to wear. And I like the cartoon Spidey as well.

I really only used it to help for time purposes in the combat challenges or when I'm just sorta "done" with a fight like getting the bonus objectives for a crime just web blossoming the rest.

This GFaqs thread [https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/191635-marvels-spider-man/77018685] is golden as the hardest of the "hardcore" is arguing that nerfing it will make it suck, thus there will be less depth to the game because a viable option was taken away.

If the devs really don't like how something plays, it's their game so I don't really care, just don't go like full George Lucas constantly making changes. As long as they don't listen to the community honestly, they should be good. When devs actually listen to the community, balance usually goes out the window (*cough*BF3*cough*).

Well, if something is seen as being way too brutal by players, I can understand the developer rebalancing it. God of War: Ascension had its final gauntlet patched because people just couldn't get by it (although that had more to do with players not realizing all the tricks they had up their sleeve). But if it's in regards to one or two player abilities being too strong, yeah, I guess that's up to the dev team to decide. I guess it's just them having a certain idea in mind of how difficult their game should, and if something slips by that's too over powered they'd rather it not be there. I usually just ignore it if it's too OP.

Part of the problem is that much of Spider-Man's arsenal is too OP, and it's sort of like...what makes this stand out?

I don't bother with most of the gadgets and rarely use my suit power because combat is fun and I'd rather not skip it, but they could remove web blossom entirely and fights would still be pretty easy if you're using all your toys. Once you get a bunch of the skills, you can make fights really short if you're so inclined. Which is honestly fine by me (you can make the game as hard or easy as you want), but it makes the web blossom nerf kind of...weird.

I've not unlocked the 2099 white one. I recently read the comics and in the comics it looks like a skin for the second Darkhawk armour, which put me off it. I know it's not fair, and maybe I'll like it once I get around to it.

Kind of a weird reason, too. Just...Gabe flying around and stuff is weird to me. Even after all the other Spider-Armours.

I think it's because webbing enemies to a surface is the most efficient way in dealing with enemies (air launch + web up + yank down is probably the best move in the game), and web blossom is bound to do this to at least 4 goons. And many times it'll just take care of a whole room. Out of all the moves in the game it's the closest to being an instant win. So it's not too strange that if Insomniac would choose to nerf any move it'd probably be that one.

The only gadgets I use are the impact webbing and on occasion the web bomb. Anything that isn't web based I don't bother with since it doesn't feel like a very Spider-Man thing to do. Also the way you equip gadgets is kind of cumbersome and stops the flow of the combat dead in its tracks, so there's that too.

I keep having to remind myself to use web mine for the trophy.
