I watched it out of curiosity and there was really no point to see it. Then again I made a night out of it and watched Antichrist, Martyrs, and Aftermath along with A Serbian Film. Just looked up movies that sounded horrible. Martyrs and Aftermath to me were far worse than A Serbian Film.

I searched it up on imdb.
What a waste of such an interesting title :(
Also, why would you even consider watching it?

Was Antichrist good? It's been sitting in my Netflix instant queue for a while now and I never got around to watching it... I just wanted to know what someone who has seen it thinks of it.

Eh, I read about it, but I've never seen it. I don't even know where or how I'd see it, considering no store in town carries it.

Seen it uncut. It's a surprisingly well shot, acted and written film.

Some parts are horrific and shocking but you do genuinely care for the protagonist and the fact he is the true victim of the film in that he is forced to do such horrible acts against his will.

Seriously this is a very good film, if you can accept the disgusting bits in the context of the film. Also the first hour is build up and thus allows for good characterisation unlike crap like Hostel.

You can pretty much google "watch (insert film title) online" and usually end up with a pretty good quality link for a flash player with the film. Works for most titles. usually you've just gotta scroll down a few results to find a good one.

Antichrist wasn't actually too bad. Entertaining enough and pretty brutal. Worth giving it a look. As for watching A Serbian Film, just Google it. A bunch of sites have it up to watch in decent quality.

i agree with you. this film is watched for the shock and gore but it is not simply trying to shock and be gross. it's well thought out and if you look past the top layer there is some very real food for thought in this film.

i had just read the millennium trilogy by stieg larsson when i saw it and to me it represented a lot of things about those books, from the opposite perspective.

The themes were very sick, but well presented in a shock-horror film. So imo it's a success in that field.
