Attention to all potential super heroes:
The Society of Justice (the world's most recognized hero society) is holding an open trial for all non-member heroes that would like to be a part of this prestigious and respected group. In the wake of the victory over Omoi Sykes and his army along with the recent galactic Battle Royale, we need more heroes than ever before to deal with the increase in requests. Please send your applications to The Promenade (1010 E. Robin Street, Nova City) where our respected group of heroes will review all the applicants.* Applicants must be able to hold their own in a fight (will be tested) and have a high, unshakable moral stance against evil (applicants also must be within the ages of 16-33). Enclosed is the application needed. We look forward to all the applications and we wish you a crime-free day.

The Society of Justice fought tooth and nail against a supervilain by the name of Omoi Sykes and an army of experimental suits stolen from Richard Masterson (Blue Steel). While unable to stop the villains from stealing the plans from the pentagon itself in the wake of a combination earthquake/tsunami, our heroes had to find out who had done this. Clues lead them to one Leland Claidt, sorcerer and member of the Union of Relentless Malevolence and Utmost Malice and Brother of Garrus Arreos (Fissure). Our heroes suffered their first defeat at the hands of this dastardly (and more than slightly insane) villain, and had to go up against a mad Scientist named Mordtoten to regain favor with a populace that disliked them after repeated failures.

When just about to defeat the evil man, forces of Omoi broke in an attempt to kill them all. Infected with a virus that nearly killed the villains, our heroes were forced to turn to the Union's leader, and mother of Garrus, Camille Claidt for help. With one son dying and another son begging her for help to save the one he had a crush on, she reluctantly helped. Just after healing up and leaving, Omoi made his move, taking Leland hostage while our heroes were busy with a mercenary stronghold loyal to Omoi under a man named Gerard.

Camille's adopted son Requiem was able to escape and request the society's help in saving his family. Upon reaching the Union base, they found Camille already breaking out, and with the Society's help, she was able to rescue other Union members loyal to her. With new allies in tow, they went back to the promenade to find it in ruins from a vicious attack by an emboldened Omoi. Camille receives information on the whereabouts of her son and sends the team out to find him once a team of her own people loses contact. After battling once loyal Union members under mind control they go deeper into the facility to find that Leland is a puppet of Omoi's while controlling the Union members. They defeat him only by sending him into a coma and return to the Promenade to find Omoi's final attack in his plans for world conquest underway.

Fighting through legions of suits and capturing Gerard, our heroes eventually reach Omoi himself and must overcome villains that are their polar opposites to defeat him. They overcome their weaknesses to find Camille has tortured Omoi for what he has done, knowing nothing can be done, Richard kills Omoi and ends the war.

Second Arc Summary

A year has passed since our heroes first came together to fight for justice and they had become close as a team during that time, but they were having trouble with the scale of conflicts they were involved in and needed to find new recruits. After collecting the newest members and bringing them to The Promenade, it was time for a training exercise after fighting had broken out amongst the recruits to form a cohesive team. The training session was less than stellar as the team continued to bicker and fight even as an outside force threatened them, the older members were disappointed in their ability to form a team and knew more would have to be done. There were some new members who had showed quite a bit of potential when fighting the giant metallic snake the team had faced, Alex, Taryn, and Bart (soon to change his name to Levi) proved themselves to be able to show they could be a time as well as proving ingenuity and caring when fighting the snake.

The first mission with the new team members was to recapture a giant lizard named fluffy who had escaped from the mad scientist Mordtoten. After completing this mission the team had some time to rest up, and relationships formed. Richard Masterson and Alex Rivers, Levi Harland and Taryn Foundre, and Katie Southe and Leland Claidt would all become couples, finding love within their teammates and friends. The second mission involved a nuclear device in Times Square during the Thanksgiving Day Parade, and it ultimately was up to Leland to save the day after it became obvious that the team would not be able to defuse the bomb in time to save the east coast.
Before and after the second mission, the team was being taunted by former members of Omoi, who would eventually kill Katie's parents and need to be stopped. After handing out presents during Christmas Garrus Arreos proposed to Lillian O'Hare, who he had been dating for a year previous. Eventually one more person would join the team, Alex's gay college friend Eric Hersten, had found her father who had been tormenting her in her dreams with taunts of killing Richard. After having stopped this villain Alex took over her father's company and acquired all his information about genetics. By this point the team had become a cohesive unit going in to stop the Union who were stealing priceless works of art from the Nova City Museum. This mission ended with many of our heroes nearly dying when Major Crime (who became the leader of The Union after Camille became a Galactic Guardian) fought them and proved too powerful for the team. The day was saved when Levi?s evil alter-ego Victor came out and stood toe-to-toe with Major Crime until Leland managed to teleport him away. When Christmas had arrived the team spent their time celebrating the holidays with each other, but once this had finished they were abducted and placed on an alien moon.

Our heroes had to try and find each other as they had been separated into small groups with some members completely isolated. Eventually most of the team would meet up, but not before Richard ran into a strange alien woman by the name of Bona Dea who could control men through the power of pheromones. Eventually she came to dominate every non-magical male of the Society and turned them against the women of the group. They would eventually kill this alien and find the rest of their allies and begin to head toward an alien camp. Earlier in this Garrus had insulted another alien by sneezing and it had been unable to finish its work before the team could meet up.
Once it had caught up to Garrus and the team it set upon him and left him with injuries that would prove fatal. Enraged at the loss of her friend, Alex unleashed her full power and destroyed the alien as Garrus died in Lillian's arms. What was left of the team met up with a group of aliens planning to raid the base of the alien that had started all of this, and had already concocted a plan to do so by the time the team showed up. The raid began at night as the army of aliens stormed the ground bases to the space based control center of this. The team arrived up top to find this was all the stage for a sick game where aliens were pitted against one another and all losing species had their home planets destroyed. They also found Garrus alive and after a touching reunion met up with Camille in the office of the alien who was running the show. The team would go home as the alien met the same fate as Omoi at the hands of Camille.
Hello there everyone! This roleplay is going to be based on the comic book style super hero (a mix of old-school camp and new-age Grimdark) that everyone knows and loves. I am the GM and the Co-GMs are Pm0n3y, blaze96, and CounterAttack

Now this roleplay will be relatively fast-paced so please apply only if you think you can keep up. If you find that you cannot keep up, please make it known.

Myself and the co-GM's will read your applications and choose who we think would be suitable candidates for this roleplay (villain applications will not be accepted, we tried this in the first roleplay and it did not work. Those who submit a villain sheet will be asked to convert it to be a hero). Applications can be either posted here or PMed to me (good if you want to ask questions).
Good luck applicants, your country needs you!

The world that this roleplay takes place in is just like ours, except people with powers exist and there is an advancement in technology. Nova City is one of the largest and most influential cities in the United States. It is broken up into smaller districts, with each being a unique part of the Nova experience.
Districts:
Green Everest District - the rich area (Smithson Lake and Park, Goldburg Golf Course, DJP Country Club, Smithson National Zoo, The Twin Bridges)
Westford - industry (Southwest Docks, Nova Water Treatment Plant, Fusion Power Plant)
Harbor District - middle class, Miller Howard Airport
Horatio Way - truck depots and diners
Horizon - middle class (The Dawn (shopping mall/outlet))
Central - culture center (Digit-L (club), Police HQ, City Hall, Promenade, Nova Library, Main Street, Museum of Art and Culture, Nova City Opera Hall), The Light of the Moon
Snake Alley - the worst of the worst when it comes to places to live
Chinatown - self explanatory (Yin Yang Restaurant, Metal Fist Dojo, Flying Dragon Spa, Chi (club/bar))

Nova State University ? state college, Vikings
Vandervale University ? preppy Ivy League in Green Everest, White Knights
VvU would be like the proper, prestigious Private school, while NCU would be the rowdy inner city school that everyone went to.
Rules:
1. No god-moding. These are a bunch of young heroes still understanding their powers, not godly-heroes. If the GM (or co-GMs) finds you to be god-moding you will get a nice little talking to if it's a first-time offense. If this persists you will no longer be a part of the roleplay.
2. Stay with the story. Do not try to lead it in your own direction (unless you're revealing back-story about your character and it doesn't veer to far from the plot or if approved by the GM).
3. The control of other characters is alright as long as it is done responsibly; if someone dislikes what someone has made their character do they can ask for it to be changed (The GM and co-GMs are allowed lenience with this rule if it makes it easier to move the plot along).
4. One character per person (unless you are a co-GM or you've gotten permission from them).
5. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE LINERS!
6. If you want certain character development or a sub-plot to happen (that needs certain events to happen) it needs to be brought to my attention before hand. Otherwise pre-planned plots can get messy and things could happen that were not supposed to happen.
7. Respect each other and have fun!

Vaude

Name: Garrus Arreos
Hero Alias: Fissure
Age: 27

Powers: I can create shock waves of varying strength and size from any part of my body.
Weaknesses: My control over them has become better over the years of having it. Can still cause a lot of collateral damage though.

Appearance (both civilian and hero costume): My civilian and hero costume are the same: a dark green jacket, white long-sleeved shirt underneath that, and gray pants. Nothing too special.

[link]http://www.flickr.com/photos/tsatoma/4973292340/sizes/l/[/link]

Personality: I can have a temper at times, but it's usually for good reason. I've become a much better leader over the few years with being with the Society. My morals are just as strong as they ever, especially after having my son.

Biography: Born with my powers. Mother's side comes from France. Immediate family seems to all be bad guys (or 'were'). Moved out of my family's house at 15, worked as a chef and vigilante over in Chinatown until joining the Society (mother used to be a member and I often visited). The last year has been great for me: I've gotten married to Lillian, opened up my first restaurant (numerous awards too), and have had a son.

Notes: Been married for over a year now and my son, Renton, is now a whole year old! I've had to take more frequent breaks when it comes to helping out the Society, but I still spend the majority of my time there.

What's been happening with everyone else:
Patriot Punch! (Collin Smith, aka ex-President of the United States) - as of now he's been out of the job for over a year and has 'founded' Americaland as he calls it. It's over in the Caribbean, and he plans on going to the UN to make it an official country. Comes to visit when he can.

Camille Claidt (my mum) - Still with the Galactic Guardians. Tends to visit much more often with Neil (always brings him along) now that she has a grandchild.

Leland F. Claidt (my brother) - I never knew his ego could get bigger. Now that he's a world-wide rockstar with his triple platinum album and his high-grossing world tour nothing seems to bug him anymore. Still should be wary around him, just in case.

Major Crime (godfather) - The leader of the Union. Causes trouble that we have to deal with, but hasn't tried to really kill us within the last year...no clue why.

Ethan (Requiem aka. adopted brother) - Working as Leland's bodyguard (not that he needs it). Still doesn?t have an English-translator yet.

Prof. Mordtoten (crazy science guy) - Still living in Kent working on his crazy devices that tend to ruin our day (like when he followed us to the beach and...yeah).
Name: Alex Masterson

Hero Alias: Mist

Age: 26 (Born December 21st)

Powers: I have ability to manipulate water and turn it into any of its forms; such as turning it into a burning steam to scaled villains or into ice to freeze them in place. I also can live in extreme cold without needing warmth. My blood is made of water.
Update: After meeting and killing my father I discovered I have light and dark powers as well as extensive genetic mutations.

Weaknesses: Electricity and I have never gotten along. Even touching it for a split second causes me to fall to the ground in pain.
Weapons: A gored full of water given to me by my mother before she died.
Update: a pair of amazing fully automatic G18s with a shit ton of ammo APs, FMJs, JSPs, JHPs, Coppertops, Incendiaries, and Trackers, I also favor forming a Khopesh and Jian out of ice. From my time in Tibet I was given a small gourd of healing water.

Appearance: I work for an environmental group monitoring the toxin levels in water. For work I wear a lab coat, a red blouse and black slacks with my long black hair tired up. Off work I change into blue jeans and a black shirt or whatever I grab out of my dresser.
As Mist I wear a blue thermal full body suit covers in armor made out of ice frozen to the point of true zero. My hair down and draped over my shoulders and a mask covering my eyes. My mother's gourd on my back. My eyes are also as blue as ice. I have been known to have a pretty face.
Update: Well I don't really work for that group any more since I joined the Society, hell now I own Gentron.

Personality: I'm cold and ruthless to a radical level to evil and have no remorse for killing them. I would die however to save the innocent. I'm very intelligent and I love to be around water. I hate a deep hate for all that is evil and can be reckless and cruel. I have anger issues and have been known to break down just thinking about my mother. I'm very closed off.
Update: Looking back at who I was and who I am now I see a huge difference. I'm no longer a *****. I'm warm, happy and willing to help anyone in need. I still can be closed off and cold but something like that takes time to work out of a person after they had my past. I am still harsh but my anger issues are gone.

Biography: I was born in Snake Alley living with the lowest of the low. My mother when she was young was doused in an odd chemical changing her DNA giving her the same powers I have. I was born with her powers and trained by my mother to use them. I use to use my powers to steal just to survive for a day. Each day was a fight for life. When I was 16 I watched a super villain kill my mother as she protected me and have been hunting him ever since. All I know of him is his deep red eyes and a dragon tattooed on his chest.
Update: Turns out I wasn't born in Snake Alley like I though. I was born in Green Everest and am the daughter to Marcus O'Harrus, past CEO of Gentron. After I killed my father and the man that killed mother I took over Gentron, with the help of my college friend Eric of course.

Notes: I wish to avenge my mother's death and will stop at nothing to do so no matter who gets in my way. Evil has no right to live and I must destroy them.
Update to Notes: Right after I joined the Society I started dating Richard Masterson. You could say we fell in love quickly but I don't really care what you think about it. After the whole Society was abducted to a strange planet and escaped I spent a year in Tibet with a water master. With his help I have fully mastered my water powers and have control over my light and dark powers. When I came back Richard and I became engaged and months later married.
Name: Eric Hersten

Hero Alias: Transmute.

Age: 26 (Born September 5th)

Powers: I have the power of alchemy, no it's not just about making gold or crap like that. My power allows me to turn anything into something else. Like I can take a metal pipe and turn it into a lance or turn water into wine if I so please. I'm also skilled with hacking and any kind of tech however it's not a power as much as it's a skill I've had for years. Trust me if there was or is a file on something, even if it's on a flash drive, I can find it. I hacked the Pentagon many times for fun.

Weaknesses: Well I need time to make my weapons and any armor I use. Until I'ready I'm weak. Like I said all I have is my alchemy. I bleed just like a normal person.

Weapons: Ummm anything I can find really. Not like I carry metal with me all the time.

Appearance(both civilian and hero costume): As a civilian I wear designer clothes, something nice but nothing like a suit. I feel to formal in a suit. As a hero I wear a nice black jacket with a red shirt under it, and don't get me started on the dark blue pants. Oh yea I wear a mask over my eyes as well but it doesn't fit the outfit well.

Personality: I'm an upbeat person and love to be around people. I'm happy but serious when life is on the line. However, even then I crack a few jokes to help lighten the mood. I try to see things in more positive way but life isn't all sunny and happy ether. I'm a dedicated ally and friend, just ask Alex she'll tell you. When they're in trouble I will jump to help no matter what. Friends are what make a person strong.

Biography: I was born in the Green Everest District. My family is best known for clothing design, something I never really go into. Guess I'm the black sheep of the family, my younger sister Robin is going to take over the family business. I was never given everything I wanted and I'm happy for it really. If there was something I wanted I had to work my ass off for it. Dad always said being rich doesn't give you a free pass to be lazy and spoiled. I went to college with Alex at Vandervale University and got a doctorate in computer science. GO KNIGHTS! Yea I graduated from high school at 14 so sue me that's how I have a doctorate.

Notes: I'M GAY. (Ok I'm bi for one chick but that's it.)
Name: Tommy Stitch
Hero Alias: Golem
Age: 20
DOB: October 13th,

Powers:

My powers come from my body's unique ability to absorb and metabolize magical energy, using it to enhance my bodies physical abilities. Because I've been spending less time in magicaly imbued areas my powers have waned somewhat, but I able to compensate with a new training regime.
-Super Strength, I'm capable of lifting 40 tons over my head.
-Durability, while my skin is as vulnerable as anyone else, but my muscles are as tough as kevlar, and my bones are practically made of steel, I'm also incredibly resistant to blunt-force trauma.
-Endurance, I have practically unlimited energy.
-Healing factor, the one thing that seems to have improved, now I can heal from even the most horrendous injuries in minutes, so long as I have a quit place out of harms way to heal.
-Mobility, I've been training to translate my strength into speed, thanks to my extremely powerful legs I can hit a 50 mph sprint in the blink of an eye, and jump extreme heights.
Weaknesses:
-I derive my power from a link to the supernatural world, if that link is weakened my powers wane.
-I'm not invulnerable, bullets will pierce my skin and hurt me, high caliber ones will punch straight through my muscles. Blades are pretty affectice against me to.
-As big and heavy as I am I can't move with a lot of agility, so no flips, fancy rolling, or artful dodging for me.
Weapons: I wear a pair of enchanted MMA gloves that can summons fire, wind, lightening, and earth elements. Theres also a suit of armor which was said that whoever wore it would never fall in battle. It was too small for me so I melted it down into a new chain belt, which is enchanted to be unbreakable and to be expendable. I also have a wide array of magical devices that I bring with me as the mission requires (this does not mean infinite bag of convenient knick-knacks, though I'm working on that).
Appearance: I stand 6'7", very muscular, have black hair which I now keep in a fairly short, about 1 or 2 inches, and pitch black eyes, I've been told I bear a striking resemblence to Wes Bentley. My civilian clothes tend to be very baggy to hide my muscles, usually it's hooded sweatshirts and jeans. My super hero costume is dark blue tights, with no sleeves, I also wear a black leather vest, a pair of MMA gloves and vambraces that go to my elbows, and chain belt, and on the front of my tights are two yellow triangles that form an hourglass like shape, where the points meet at the top of my abdominal muscles. My mask is all dark blue and has no expressions or features except for a pair of circular white eyes.
Personality: I am painfully self-aware of my strength, it's been something that's made me a pariah since I was a toddler, you won't see me breaking down walls, I try to use as little of my strength as possible at all times. However I've come out of my shell since when I first joined the Society, I'm more boisterous and talk a lot more. I'm still a little shy around new people, and I've been known to go very long periods of time without saying a word. My moral compass has become stronger than ever since I began working with the Society, I try to help everyone I can no matter what the cost would be to myself. I no longer have a strict no killing policy, but I do have very strict circumstances where I do let myself use lethal force. I also don't look at good and evil in a dualistic light, I see groups like the Society of Justice and the Union as two opposing forces that must exist in order to keep each other balanced and in check, to that end I don't hold a grudge against most Union members and I'm actually friends with one or two.
Biography:
I'm the scion of a family of mages, instead of manifesting in magical abilites my gift manifested in my great physical prowess. Seen as an oddity I was studied and trained to develop my gift. When I was seventeen I was in a taxi when a criminal tried to hold me and the driver up for money at gun-point, well to the suprise of the driver and the mugger things didn't go as planned. Ever since then I've been sneaking out at night to fight crime, when my parents found out the demanded I stop, instead we comprimised, I would continue to be a hero, but only as long as I could find a group to work with.

Update 1: Since defeating Omoi I've stuck around with the Society for the entire year. I visited Leland often while he was recovering to see how he was doing (I still feel really guilty about that). Besides that I've adjusted to this whole hero role and have been having a blast at this job. I've kind of become the team's go to guys for magical and occult things, which I'm cool with because for once there's an area that I'm smarter than everyone else in.

Update 2: Since the getting back from being abducted I've doubled my efforts to get stronger. After hanging around for a few months I went to Northern Russia where I spent four months wrestling twenty foot tall mutated bears in the wilderness. I then spent the rest of the time stopping disasters and partying with Leland. Which included a tour of the various magical cities between his tours.

Notes: I know a lot about the magical world that lives parallel to the conventionally one, having gone to high-school in New Eldorado, if you want to know about it just ask, also I feel the need to plug in my family members so here they are:

Dustin Stitch, Age 112, Father, Necromancer, veteran of both World Wars.

Alina Stitch, Age 122, Mother, Clairvoyant.

Dira Stitch, Age 24, Older Sister, Artificier (she makes magic devices).

Garrets Stitch, Age 28, Older Brother, Blood Mage/Rancher
Name: Katie Gabrielle Southe
Hero Alias: Demeter (Greek goddess of plants, nature and the harvest)
Age: 20
Date of Birth: June 11th

Powers: I am able to manipulate almost any form of plant life at will, even creating plants from airborne spores or turning plants into different ones. This can be used for combat, creating armour or even healing wounds I've received. In addition, I am capable of levitation for about thirty seconds at a time.
Weaknesses: Fire. Just being near open flames is enough to cause me pain. Coming into contact with fire increases the pain substantially. As such, I don't exactly save people from burning buildings.

Weapons: I use my plant-altering abilities in combat, along with my physical strength if necessary.

Civilian Appearance: I normally wear clothes you'd see on the average Nova City citizen; a mix of jeans, skirts, shirts with sleeves of varying length and the occasional jacket. I also own a few items of clothing that are suited for more formal occasions. Some people say I resemble Natalie Portman.
Heroic Appearance: When the time comes, I use armour made purely out of plant matter, which covers my entire body. I usually incorporate thick sequoia bark into my armour to defend me from fire.

Personality: I'm pretty smart, charming when needs be, and some say I'm sweet. Others think I'm cute, though that's definitely not my thing - though most guys would say I'm attractive. I'm proud of my intelligence, and can come up with plans of action pretty well, given time - I usually don't improvise that well.

Biography: I grew up in the Horizon area, with my parents Jordan and Lucille. During my time in the Society prior to now, around the time of Mordtoten's virus infecting us all, I learned that I had possessed a passive mimicry ability at a young age. It learned what I did most often or tried to do as a child, which was mostly helping my parents in the gardens. The mimicry turned itself into partial levitation at age twelve and plant manipulation when I was fourteen years old, but it could have been anything, really. For example, if I'd helped to create ice sculptures, I would be able to work with ice.

I did a few experiments over the next two years and found that I could manipulate all forms of plant. I now live in a house made out of a tree, and I grow my own fruit and vegetables. I also grow wine grapes, which I occasionally sell to winemakers for a little extra cash if I'm running a little low.

My parents were murdered in an arson attack by a super from the Omoi War, a woman named Marilyn Reinhardt, or Hellfire. For some reason, after I beat her in a fight she must've made it a high priority to come after me and kill me. After that was cleared up, I inherited the little that was left, which basically comprised a safety deposit box and their shared bank account, which was transferred to my own. The Society raided Hellfire's little den and defeated the group of supers she had with her before Richard Masterson killed her. I couldn't do it myself. I've never killed another human being, and I don't ever want to.

Since we all got back from that alien planet, I took a week or so to recuperate from that incident before I went on a trip to various places around the world with Leland Claidt, my boyfriend; we visited a couple of places in France, Spain, New Eldorado (the city of magic in South America), a few islands in the Pacific whose names I forget, Australia and New Zealand before coming back to Nova City. And then Leland started his musical career and began performing live on stage. He tried to get me to come with him to his shows and be with him on stage, but I'm way too much of a chicken for that. I'd probably pass out on stage, and that's not something I want to experience.

Notes: My trademark plant is a thornless rose.
Name: My birth name is Rowan (Jethro) Ward. When using a female form, I use the self-invented alias of Jessica (Abigail) Williams.
Hero Alias: Silhouette.
Age: 23

Powers:
- First and foremost I am a shapeshifter, capable of altering my form to match that of other people, or boost my own strength and make myself tougher. From a tactical viewpoint, my power allows me to infiltrate enemy outposts or mingle with the enemy to undermine them from within. It's kind of like X-Men's Mystique plus the strength and toughness alterations.
- In addition, I can produce a psychically generated beam of purple-ish energy from the palm of my hand, given a small to medium amount of concentration. Strangely enough, placing my free hand to the side of my head helps for some reason. I've tested the attack plenty of times, and it's been proven to damage the metal, wood and concrete targets I used, usually burning right through the less dense materials and shattering glass in a flash. The blast severely burns human flesh, but I don't know how effective it would be if used against other supers or if I aimed to kill.

Weaknesses:
- I can only change my form once every ten minutes; if I try to change shape too soon, I revert to my natural, pre-shapeshifting appearance. If I assume the form of a fellow super, I don't gain their powers.
- Using the psychic beam extensively gives me a severe headache if I use it too much at a time.
Weapons: My psychic attack is my only weapon besides the little hand-to-hand experience I have.

Appearance: I was born a Caucasian male, with blue eyes and black hair which I kept cut short. My pre-shapeshifting appearance is about 5'6", and fairly underweight. These days I can be anyone I want to be; I can even assume a female body or change my voice to imitate others perfectly.
Personality: I'm a casual, laidback person who can get along with a lot of people. I'm also good at acting - I have to be, to pull off my shapeshifting effectively, plus it was the focus of my studies at college.

Biography: I was born in New York, but I moved to Nova City with my mother; she divorced my dad soon after I was born. Later he joined the US Air Force and was killed in action, but that's irrelevant. My shapeshifting ability developed when I was fifteen years old, manifesting in random changes to my body while I slept. My mother knows, of course; how could she not? It's kinda hard to hide it when you go to sleep as a boy and wake up with breasts.

When I was fifteen, my high-school class and I took a trip to a nuclear power station. Somehow I got cut off from the rest of the group, and locked in a chamber of some kind. Perhaps it had been a fault in the system or something, but I digress. I remember a strange green gas entering the room, so I tried not to breathe it in. They told me I passed out soon afterward; I don't remember much of it. I woke up in an advanced private hospital to find my mother looking at me from a sealed room. The doctors told me that I was infected with some kind of irradiated virus. They never told me how it happened, just that it had. It must have been the gas in that chamber. Anyway, the virus had affected my entire body by integrating itself into my system. The doctors couldn't get a sample of it for analysis, so they opted to wait until any changes took place. Oh, they got a change all right.

The next morning I had some strange dreams, and woke up in a female body. The docs were onto me like moths to a flame, quickly taking blood samples and scans and whatnot, and declared that almost everything in my body had somehow changed while I slept. I had assumed the body of a sixteen-year-old Chinese girl. A few days later, the doctors concluded that the virus was the result of this change, and subsequent shifts in appearance. They also reported that the virus, in combination with their MRIs of my head, caused my brain to develop a unique, harmless growth, which they left alone because it was incredibly close to my brain stem. It's this that gave me my psychic blast ability, which I accidentally discovered once when I smashed a hole in a window after a headache. From the many experiments I performed over my gap year, I learned that my brain is unaffected when I change form. I'm able to produce the psychic attack no matter what I look like.

I was cleared of any obvious harmful effects, suffering only minor radiation poisoning that was quickly cured. They couldn't remove the virus, as it had become a part of me. Still, that wasn't a bad thing; I learned to control my new gifts, mastering them after a year or so. I took that year off high school to come to terms with my abilities and make sure I was over the radiation sickness.

To bring you up to the present day, I'm applying to join the Society based on a recommendation from my ex-girlfriend Sabrina Blanche. Long story short, last year she fell in with the wrong crowd at a drunken party and ended up a prisoner of a Snake Alley gang for a week or so. You don't need to know the details from her end, but I rescued her and a couple of other girls by taking the form of one of the gang members and using the subsequent confusion to knock them all out with a combination of my psychic blast and general brawling. Sabrina went into intensive therapy to recover from her ordeal, breaking off our relationship a month later with the kind-hearted suggestion that I join the Society of Justice. I think she wanted to forget all about what happened, and I'm not gonna get in her way.

I gave the idea some thought, but opted to wait until I was completely over Sabrina before I joined up with you guys. I didn't want to be hindered by any emotional baggage, so I waited a year - during which time I finished my degree in college (Arts with a major in acting) - and here I am.

Also, I've heard news reports that Alex Rivers, a known member of the Society, took over the genetics company Gentron a year or so ago. I want to talk to Ms. Rivers about my abilities, and the virus that gave them to me. Hopefully Gentron can do some in-depth analysis, and maybe provide a way to remove the small period in which I have to wait between shapeshifts.

Notes: I'm bisexual and I have no problem with telling people about it. I'm also left-handed.
Umm...you guys want me to make another file? Seems kind of redundant, but whatevs...

Name: Jason Jamie (pronounced Hy-me) Rojas

Hero Alias: Erebus

Age: Just turned 19
- D.O.B: May 28th

Powers: (w/ The Key's power enabled) Enhanced speed, agility, and strength. Limited Invulnerability and an Increased jump ability. With my time on the SoJ, I also learned how to generate and eject spikes from my armor.

Weaknesses: The armor is useless when facing other Keyholders. That, and the armor dissipates after taking too much damage (noted by the amount of cracks shown on it) and The Key would have to recharge it for me to use it again.

Weapons: The only weapons I use are the black spikes that occasionally sprout of my arms, wrists, or the ground. When I was still in the Corps, I was trained to used several different types of weapons. My favorite weapon was the Bo Staff. So sometimes I'll use a long spike as a makeshift staff. And speaking of Bo Staffs, Tommy got me one last Christmas. I use that one for training.

Appearance (both civilian and hero costume):

- Civilian Wear: Most of the time I wear simple hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, and other casual clothes. Though, my favorite outfit consists of a black and blue striped hoodie (plain black T-shirt underneath), black skinnys, and black and blue high-tops. And sometimes I'll wear a pair of clear-lensed, black Wayfarers. Also, on an unrelated note, I also grew facial hair over the year! It's like a really thin chinstrap goatee. I'll get rid of it if it becomes a problem.

- Hero Costume: The armor is mostly black, and somewhat skintight. Blue spikes are sprouted from my forearms and four long spikes stretch out in different directions from my faceless black head. My hands are clawed with the tips being streaked blue. When I take damage, blue cracks appear in the spot where the damage was inflicted (with one, un-recovering crack spreading across the mouth of my face mask. I...won't go into details about its significance here...)

Personality: Still the same easy-going and laid back Jason. I respect my elders, and I know my place.

Biography: So...what, you want me to put what I had before? Again? Geez.
I was born into a cultist, elitist, extremist vigilante group called The Key Corps, named after an energy signature (The Key, of course) that's present in a small amount of humans. The Key itself can be a really small and insignificant, but when concentrated upon, and used to its full potential, it can create full suits of armor, weapons, and even modes of flight for the body. The people that have harnessed The Key's full potential are called Keyholders. If you haven't figured it out by now, I am a Keyholder.

My older brother. Jealous of our father's affection, and tries to take his anger out on me. He has red armor (his cracks are black), can teleport, and can grow shields to opposite my spikes. Approach with caution.

My younger sister. She was strong for her age, but that's all I remember from that last I saw her. With the Key Corps' strict training regimen, god knows how good she's gotten...

I?m also skilled with hacking and any kind of tech however it's not a power as much as it's a skill I've had for years.

As a hero I wear a nice black jacket with a red shirt under it, and don?t get me started on the dark blue pants. Oh yea I wear a mask over my eyes as well but it doesn?t fit the outfit well.

Dad always said being rich doesn?t give you a free pass to be lazy and spoiled.

Age: 20
Date of Birth: June 11[sup]th[/sup]

[hr]

Name: My birth name is Rowan (Jethro) Ward. When using a female form, I use the self-invented alias of Jessica (Abigail) Williams.
Hero Alias: Silhouette.
Age: 23
Date of Birth: January 5th

I'm also good at acting ? I have to be, to pull off my shapeshifting effectively, plus it was the focus of my studies at college.

My younger sister. She was strong for her age, but that's all I remember from that last I saw her. With the Key Corps' strict training regimen, god knows how good she's gotten...

Name: Richard Masterson
Hero Alias: Blue Steel (The media named me, I could care less about a name. This was a field test until you forced me to join your idiotic organization.)

Age: 27

-DOB:Sept. 28

Powers: Power Suit which gives me the ability to fly as well as super strength and super agility. (You've seen the footage of me you assholes, you should know this kind of crap.)
Weaknesses: I'm a guy in a power suit, if it's a power it can hurt me. The suit was designed to stop flamethrowers, bullets, knives, and explosives, not some son of a ***** who can make ice or bend the laws of physics with their mind.

Weapons: Blades in arms for melee combat. Particle and ion based weaponry for medium to long range combat.

Appearance (both civilian and hero costume): http://www.flickr.com/photos/tsatoma/4973291092/sizes/l/
Standard carbon fiber and stainless steel suit designed to withstand fire, knives, guns, and explosives. Designed to be used in warzones for frontline troops, it was a prototype, the only one of its kind, and now its stuck working for you. High tech and high quality, this thing could hit a fly with an ion beam at a mile and compensate for dissipation in a matter of milliseconds.

Personality: Please, you have a file on me somewhere, look it up, and probably find more psych evals than you could ever hope to finish reading. If I must however, the most common words used to describe me are flirt, borderline alcoholic, and terminal trust fund child syndrome. You know what though, they're right, but if you had the kind of upbringing I did, all the money you could ever want and an infinite amount of time to use it, you would be the same way.
Biography: Oh for fuck's sake, I KNOW you have this in a file somewhere, probably multiples going back into my past even farther than I have. Can't believe you're forcing me to fill one of these things out after practically threatening me into joining in the first place. Fine, my father created a weapons manufacturing company that specialized in cutting edge weapons systems. He built the company into a global conglomerate working for any group with the cash and positive US government relations to hire us. My father used the money gained to raise me as best he could, and he did a damn fine job. I had the best schooling money could buy, and I wasn't much of a slacker myself, so I took full advantage of that. His job never came between us, I always understood, he would be there if he could, but keeping the business going sometimes needed to be put first. I went to college, best years of my life those, money can buy you a lot of things and gain you a lot of friends with about as much money as you. Women, booze, and the best housing available can make those years very exciting. But I digress; I got my business and engineering degrees and worked just below my father in the business. When he stepped down, I took over naturally, expended the company even farther than he did. Under my leadership Masterson Weapons Industries has become the most preeminent high tech weapons manufacture throughout both the US and all NATO and SEATO countries. We are years ahead of our closest competitor, and I have been designing the suit which I will not let you bastards hold onto as a secret project for the company. I was doing field tests when you bastards found me, and now I will not be able to present my work and make the company a fortune.

Notes: If you bastards didn't have all you did to hold over me, I would leave in a second. But before you ask me any stupid questions, yes there is a famous character with my same abilities, and yes he was the inspiration for this. A good idea is a good idea, it doesn't matter where the hell it came from.

Update to File: Looking over this now, it seems kinda silly. It's official record now, so what can ya do? Anyway, I spent the last year getting Lillian settled in as emergency backup and curator of the museum, making upgrades to the suit, and running my company. We recently had a breakthrough with some nanites designed to heal damage in soldiers and keep civilians healthy. Once we prove they worked, we had a batch injected into me and Lillian, giving us limited regenerative ability in case the Promenade is attacked again. I also added to updates to the suit, the armor can now become a conduit for electricity which allows the armor to act as a walking tazer for some time. The final upgrade was a crucial one, self-healing armor, with the abundance of power we used a layer of foam that can harden once its casing is broken and it becomes almost as hard as the armor once it comes into contact with the air after expanding to fill the hole.

Update #2: Let's see, after all of this went down, Alex and I eventually worked through our problems somewhat. I proposed after she came back from Tibet and we married a few months after. I worked with Tommy to make my suit resistant to magic, a recurring problem which needed to be worked out but I was only recently able to do so. Magic still has an effect if it was powerful enough, but at least Leland can't read my mind without focusing if I'm in my suit now. Oh, and I still maintain the beach was an awesome day and one that should not be forgotten. If only the others weren't such prudes I could actually talk about it.

Name: Lillian Arreos

Age:26

-May 16

Powers: None really, I'm just curator of the museum really. I have advanced Krav Maga training and am proficient with melee and ranged weapons of all types. I served as a secretary and head bodyguard to Richard Masterson and we've been friends since early childhood.

Weapons: I always keep a submachine gun on me just in case something happens when I'm on the job. I also tend to keep a knife, both of which are in my attache case which is designed to give me easy access to the weapons.

Appearance: I tend to wear standard business attire like Masterson, but I also have a large wardrobe for everyday and special events. I'm Asian with just a hint of Irish from my father's side. I'm 5'10" (one of the few traits I got from my father), and skinny.
Personality: I'm generally less serious than my boss, but I know how to get the job done. I can be very flirtatious, but I have had very few relationships. I'm not really comfortable enough to reveal too much else at the moment.

Biography: Grew up pretty much the same as Richard, wealthy family, went to good schools, only difference is I took weapons and physical training courses while he focused on business and science. I became his secretary as he offered the best pay, benefits, and I knew he would need me. Hopefully my skills as Rich's assistant will come in handy as museum curator.

1st update: Let's see, what did I do that wasn't already said in some other file. Well, I married Garrus and we had a child named Renton. He'll actually be turning a year old very soon. I'm still training and it helped get rid of the baby weight. Not to mention my skills have further increased. My missions with the Society aren't that many considering I'm a mother first.

Hello, gents. Just made the final touches to my file like you asked me to.

Name: Bartholomew Levictus Harland (Although I prefer Levi)

Hero Alias: Er...Levi. Original names aren't really my speciality.

Age: Twenty-six as of this date.

Powers/Abilities: In a nutshell, my primary ability is magnetism. I have the ability to manipulate and generate magnetic fields for a wide variety of purposes. For example, I can create and throw magnetic blasts as a ranged attack, repel myself against the Earth's core to levitate, redirect and absorb energy-based attacks, and fuse metal together to create gadgets and constructs on the fly. In addition to my magnetic talents, I also possess above-human reflexes, agility, and speed. I utilize these abilities to complement my hand-to-hand fighting technique, which I created myself from various forms of martial arts. My technique focuses primarily on non-lethal incapacitating strikes and disarament.

Weaknesses: My powers have a nasty habit of causing burns to form on my hands, fingers, and even arms if I channel too much energy at once. I am also prone to exhaustion, and sometimes blacking out, if I overextend my powers. Some of my abilities, such as clinging to surfaces and animating constructs, require some degree of focus. Animation especially is mentally draining on me, so I usually avoid doing it on a larger scale unless the situation really demands it.

Weapons: I carry compacted sheets of metal on my person that I can unfurl and utilize for many purposes at any time. I have learned how to use these sheets of varying thickness to make a variety of things on the fly, such as improvised barriers, projectiles, and even armor. They aren't without their weaknesses, however. These sheets of metal are not indestructible, and are not bulletproof, save for the thickest ones. After one has taken enough damage, I must replace it, and that is usually rather expensive. In addition, unfurling and compressing these sheets of metal can sometimes take a decent amout of effort, so using them too often will tire me. Aside from these (rather useful) items and the occasional gadget I field test, I do not possess anything in terms of truly "offensive" weaponry.

Appearance:

Hero: For my "hero" outfit, I take the persona of a Victorian-themed Steampunk inventor. Since the..incidents on the alien world last year destroyed my old outfit, I made a few changes. My standard outfit now consists of an off-white military style button up shirt, a black leather vest with copper rivet buttons, black slacks, knee-height combat boots, and forearm length fingerless gloves. I also keep a pocketwatch on my person in my left vest pocket, securely held in place by hidden straps inside the pocket. I have variations on my standard outfit for different types of environments, such as jungle, desert, and arctic, but I don't think I'll really get the chance to use them, though...

An older reference picture, drawn by an excellent friend of mine: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tsatoma/5159785112/sizes/l/

Civilian: I prefer to remain in 'uniform', but when I am in civilian mode, I still prefer to look...presentable. Generally, my civvie clothes boil down to a button-up shirt with slacks or jeans. Sometimes, I break the mold and a wear short-sleeved shirt under one of the many vests I own.

Personality: I like to view myself as an openly friendly person, although my absent-minded nature sometimes says otherwise. I try my best to be friendly and tolerant of anyone I meet. I also have a thing for formalities such as names and handshakes, which is a relic of my upbringing in a nun-operated orphanage. I am also what some would call an "absent-minded professor"; I am prone to losing myself in various trains of thought often. Before joining the Society of Justice, I spent most of my time to myself when not fighting criminals, and sometimes it really shows. I still have some difficulty with human contact, save for a few people. I tend to be the quiet and outspoken one when in groups. Some people have noted, and even seen firsthand, that I have also can have occasional problems when it comes to outbursts of...anger, especially when I bottle things up. Usually, my martial arts routine is pretty cathartic and relieves a lot of stress, but sometimes it gets to be too much. I'm not saying that I am a ticking timebomb or aything, but even calmer people such as myself have a breaking point.

Biography: I find my history and upbringing to be somewhat...dull compared to the stories the others could give you, so I'll spare you the boring details. I spent most of my early life growing up in an orphanage outside of Nova City. Early on, I had an interest in magnets, and the properties surrounding them. At the same time, I also developed a fascination with Victorian-era England. I found the culture, the fashion, all of it, very interesting. After graduating high school with flying colors, I sailed through college and was able, thanks to some clever behind-the-scenes maneuvering, to acquire government funding to perform independent research. My experiments involved manipulating and condensing magnetic fields for use in industry. The tests were small in scale initially, but eventually grew in scale as I became more and more confident. However, on the day I did what was to be my greatest experiment, I miscalcuated. The result was an intense magnetic singularity that nearly destroyed not only the laboratory, but my own body. In the accident, the singularity painfully imbued electric energy into my cells. After I regained consciousness, I learned about my powers when trying to clear metal debris in my lab. Shortly thereafter, I decided that I would use my abilities for the "greater good", so to speak. I operated as a small-time vigilante for a few years, cleaning out some of the scum in Snake's Alley. When Nova City descended into chaos about two and a half years ago, I (unofficially) helped in the effort to maintain order. I suppose that my actions over the years were what finally attracted the attention of the Society of Justice , who asked me to be part of the wave of new recruits a year and a half ago. I accepted the invitation, and I haven't looked back.

Notes: Over the year and a half since we returned from the alien world, I've enjoyed the relative lull in action. I have spent a lot of time with my beloved Taryn, as well as learning how to better control my powers. Working with Taryn, I have also made tweaks to my hand-to-hand technique and taught her almost everything I know. She even taught me how to manifest electricity in my hands to help give my punches a bit more..."oomph". Together, we also have finally gotten around to finishing the repairs to the Merriweather, a beauty of a ship and our new method of transportation, as well as making upgrades to the Promenade's security systems.

Also, Taryn and I finally watched the rest of Star Trek. Good movie.
Name: Taryn Foundre
Gender: Female
Hero Alias: N/A
Age: 24
Powers: Technopathy and Electric Manipulation.

Technopathy
I can manipulate and communicate with technology. Some call it 'talking' to machines but I don't use that term. When I have physical contact with a machine I gain complete control over it, and any machines that are networked to it (via cellular network, digital network, phone lines, internet lines, etc). I am also able to communicate with devices without being in physical contact with them, but it requires more concentration and the connection is not as strong.

Electric Manipulation
I can generate and manipulate electricity. This includes minor manipulation such as powering a blender by holding it and major manipulation such as generating bolts of lightning. My body constantly generates electricity in small voltages. I must maintain constant control over this passive aspect of my power and though the control is now second nature at times electricity will still travel across my body without my noticing it. These small sparks tend to dissipate upon contact with things like carpet, my clothes, or on the rare occasion other people. To prevent problems with trees near to me (and my own self) getting struck by lightning, lightning rods have been installed on the Promenade. While getting struck by lightning doesn't exactly 'hurt', it tends to frighten people and mess up my non-hero clothes.

Weaknesses: Although I can access an infinite amount of data from a computer I have to remember things myself (or send data to my PDA phone). If I generate electricity while in water I will shock myself, and anyone I happen to be in contact with. The electricity I generate causes the atmosphere around me to become disturbed on a very very minute level. Those with extremely specialized equipment (or who have a power based around magnetism, like Levi) can detect the changes.

Weapons: I don't have any actual guns or blades. But I do have a near-bulletproof laptop, a PDA (well actually it's a 'smart-phone' but it recently replaced my PDA and I'm still getting used to the new device). The laptop's been completely restored once already...so I have confidence in its survival abilities. I use both devices to enhance my abilities and access machines over wi-fi and cellular networks. I also get free software upgrades.

Appearance: My hair is short, dark brown and has red tips. My original 'hero' gear had a red 'theme'. Due to an incident on the alien planet I decided to rethink my original outfit. My gear now consists of a mesh, armored black and silver jacket (with an inner layer of neoprene and Kevlar), a short sleeved shirt made of aramid fibers, my Indestructopants (yes, they're indestructible and machine washable), and well worn side-zip tactical boots. When I'm not in my hero gear I wear jeans or long cargo pants, a t-shirt, and Converse tennis shoes.

Personality: Before gaining control over my powers I had to be carefully not to shock strangers so I tried to stay away from crowds. I no longer have to take this precaution but I'm still somewhat of an introvert. I dislike arguments, and since my electricity tends to manifest if I get stressed I make an effort to avoid them.
Name:Steven McPhearson

Alias: Helios

Age: 22years 6 months 4 days 6 hours 51 minutes 50 seconds at time of writing

Powers: I can manipulate light. I can harden it, bend it, refract it, and in cases of what the Doctor calls extreme duress, produce quasars (the opposite of a black hole). Essentialy, I can produce constructs. That is why I am currently residing here, as the government "persuaded" me to have several psychological and physical evaluations. I fuel my powers by amplifying my bodies own electricity, via my nerve endings.

Weaknesses: The electricity that powers my ability also deprives my nerves of electricity, so after a while, my body goes completely numb and I pass out. Exposure to electricity is something of a double edged sword. In small doses, it can charge my powers. In excessive doses, It can overload my powers. I have been working on a way to use that to my advantage though. My true weakness is pure darkness. While I can bend the light in an area to cause darkness, if there is no light there to begin with, I am powerless.

Weapons: I do not use firearms. Oddly enough, constantly warping light and the space/time continuum gives you shit aim. So I stick with Medieval weapons. I usually use either a halberd or a kilij (http://bit.ly/ak2ckG) by condensing light to a point where it becomes solid. So, technically, any solid object is possible. Although, the larger the object, the more stress I put myself under.

Bio: I was a sick baby. I am told I was abandoned at birth somewhere in Horatio Way. The New Frontier Corporation took me in, and used me as a test subject. The purpose of their experiment was to create a soldier that could always camouflage in any situation. I surpassed their expectations. Then I killed them. Then, I brought the building down. After I escaped, one of Patriot's men found me and tried to capture me. The fact that I just brought a bloody building down didn't discourage him apparently. In an attempt to subdue me, he hit me with a bolt of electricity. I lost control of my powers, and super-condensed the light around him, sending him to the center of a black hole. Unfortunately, the strain rendered me unconscious. When I awoke, I was connected to this strange generator. Apparently, I'm to apply to the Society after a brief stay here. If I ever tried to break free, I would just get shocked, and the massive excess of energy would drive my powers off the charts. And who knows the destruction I would cause then?

Appearance: I prefer business casual. Fitted black suit and a tie with sunglasses. Nothing too tight. Huh? oh, yes, combat form. In a fight, I condense light to a point where it becomes solid plates. I give it the appearance of medieval armor for aesthetic purposes. My helmet covers my eyes as well as the sunglasses. Don't ask why.

Personality: I do my best to stay calm and professional in everyday situations. I like to find the logical solution to problems. In combat, I let my emotions run free. Do you know whats scarier than someone who can weaponize light? Someone who can weaponize light and is very, very angry.
Name: Tyrell Jackson

Hero Alias: Shadow fist

Age: 24

Powers: Tyrell was taught the ancient power of Chi-strike by his Master just before he embarked on his pilgrimage back to Nexus city. This ability allows him to focus all of his chi energy into one strike, a strike so hard, it can crack bone, shatter concrete and bend steel. However, the intense forces and the exertion caused by this power, means he suffers a period of decreased activity after he has performed it.

Weaknesses: Armored or 'hard' enemies, over-exertion, large numbers of Asian people.

Weapons: Nunchuks, smokebombs, blunted throwing stars.

Appearance: Atop his scarred head and face, T-dog has his hair in many tight black cornrows. During his day to day life, Tyrone usually wears his favorite Leather jacket and some jeans, as he prefers to remain as inconspicuous as he can.

The costume he dons when he chooses to fight crime however is much more eye-catching. His 'costume' is a traditional Ninja garb, however due to his lack of modesty and extreme pride in his body, he has his chest bare, allowing his allies and enemies alike to see his battle-scared, but well toned chest.

Personality: Tyrone's personality is quite a special, intricate one, for while he tries to be friendly and approachable, he finds himself usually remaining silent and quite the introvert. This is due to his long history of childhood bullying.

Biography: As a young black dude growing up with foster parents in Japan, Tyrone was never really going to fit in much. From almost the moment he moved to Nagoya with his adopted parents he was bullied almost non-stop, the local boys being relentless in their taunting and ridiculing of the 'strange' new boy.

The only escape from the constant ridicule, came when he was spotted by the Sensei of his local dojo, impressed with the young boys fighting skills, accepted the boy into his doho, after having witnessed one of Tyrones daily scraps with the local boys.

Over the decade few years, T-dog trained under the watchful eye of his Sensei in the arts of Ninjitsu-tyshuto, learning how to both take on many adversaries at the same time and how to remain unseen even on the brightest of days.

Once his training was finally complete, Tyrones Sensei bid that as many of his students had done before, Tyrone would be sent back to his homeland, Nova city, and bring the criminals that infested it to justice, using his powers of shadow to bring criminals to light.
Name: Jenny Morrison

Hero Alias: Ourana

Age: 23

Powers:
Force Field Manipulation
I am able to create force fields. They're translucent and a deep blue in colour. While I can make a shield to fit the form of an object, this would make them immobile and unable to move- good for freezing enemies, not so great for moving out of tight situations. It's more practical to make spherical fields, giving the protected target the ability to move around inside and walk about; these fields will follow the target.

I also have some telekinetic abilities as well, which are practical but not as strong as force fields. I'm able to do a sort of 'force push' and 'pull' with it, as my friend and deep Star Wars fan puts it.

Weaknesses:
-I'm unaware of exactly how much pressure my force fields can take. A year ago I managed to stop a car moving at 40 miles per hour and only faint for a minute or two; I'm a bit too scared to experiment, though.
-As mentioned, if a force field is destroyed, if often renders me unconscious. How long depends on the force to hit it.
-While inside a force field, oxygen is contained, so it's possible to suffocate if staying inside too long.
-I'm not very physically strong. I'm small and slim so I can dodge very well and hide in small places, but when it comes to combat, I'm hopeless.

Weapons: N/A

Appearance (both civilian and hero costume):
Well, I suppose I'm a bit small and unassuming, if anything; I'm very petite at 5'5", so I'll never really be in the way. My blond hair is almost always in a ponytail and out of my face. Eyes are a deep shade of blue- the exact same colour as the force fields I create, which must be connected somehow. As a civilian, I dress pretty plainly in jeans and sneakers, usually with just a logo-free shirt or a delicate vest. Boring, but simple, I suppose. I used to wear a pair of glasses with black lenses out of necessity, but after my powers grew stronger, the need for them lessened to the point where I now have 20/20 vision. I still wear them as a civilian though, just as a reminder that I'm still human.

My costume is where I like to be creative- to be something more. To be what I've always dreamed, I guess. It's embarrassing, but... Well, my costume is your typical spandex show, light and manoeuvrable; with the ability to make shields, I don't really need heavy armour. The costume is dark navy blue, sleeveless, and with a short skirt attached. The collar covers my neck completely, and I tend to wear an eye mask for protecting my identity. I'm not great with high heels, so the boots are flat and comfortable. I also have a pair of gloves which flare outward at the wrists.

Personality: Well, I'm bad at describing myself, for one... I guess I'd say humble and shy, really. I'm not great at taking credit for my work; as long as the job gets done, that's fine. I'm generally quite friendly though, and probably not the bravest of the bunch. Still, while I might not have the greatest guts, I would do anything for my friends, having had so few in life.

Biography: There isn't really a lot to say here, I guess. I moved to Nova City in the Green Everest District when I was 2 years old, so I don't remember anything before that. It was in Horizon, however, that I met my best friend, Christopher, with whom I had a lot in common as opposed to the girls my age. While he was never very 'well off'- his mother was on welfare, his father in prison- we connected anyway. We grew up watching television and pretending to be jedi together.

At the age of twelve, around when I hit puberty, something else came with it. I began experiencing these odd powers. I had to show Christopher, and later that very week he gave me my own (wooden) lightsaber. We've been inseparable ever since, and while I feel bad that he doesn't have these abilities as well, he has always remained considerate about it.

It wasn't until five years later that I discovered his secret- he was bullied, constantly, though never on the face where I could tell. I confronted his bullies myself, and with my powers, tried to fight them. Unfortunately, this went badly, and Christopher felt ashamed for having gotten me into the mess. He and his mother moved away later that year, and I left for university. We kept contact online, but things were never the same. Ever since that incident, I have trained my abilities, though the reason isn't entirely clear to me.

Notes: The only person who knows my identity is my lifelong friend, Christopher Hitch. We're both big Star Wars fans, so my abilities are like a special secret between us. Embarrassingly enough, it has led to a fair few entertaining re-enactments just for laughs.

Hero Alias: N/A
Age: 25

The laptop's been completely restored once already?so I have confidence in its survival abilities.

Biography:
I was born with my powers. But I didn't know I had any abilities until I was eight. That's when my father started dropping me off at the arcade after school. He always had these important business meetings. And since my mom didn't get off work until late, he needed somewhere to put me. So I chose the arcade.

I'd have my stack of quarters, my bottle of Coke, and I would have an entire three hours to play. Everyday! It was so much fun. The fighting games were the best. I could get all the way to the last boss fight. But I could never defeat him.

It was a Wednesday, the day that it happened. And it was raining. Mom was running late and I'd used my last quarter for one final 'retry' on a boss fight. I used three combos and a punch-kick combo. Then I failed by one blow. I had been so close. All I needed was one last turn and I was sure I could win. But I didn't have anymore quarters. I was beyond disappointed.

I thought about asking one of the nearby players for some spare change. But I didn't want to seem needy. The countdown was still ticking away when I checked the screen. Twenty seconds left before my game was over. Fifteen seconds. I closed my eyes and wished for another continue. I kept my hand on the joystick and my fingers on the buttons. I saw the character select screen in my head. I focused on it. And when I opened my eyes the weirdest thing had happened. My fighter was alive again. I could choose my new player. And I had 999 credits.

I beat the final boss. And I beat him again. When my mother finally arrived I tried to her about what had happened, she...didn't really care. She thought I was just on a "sugar rush". I was banned from having soda for a week. It wasn't fair. I knew something had happened. Something...amazing.

That was the beginning. How it all started. Once I'd mastered the fighting games I moved onto the flight sims. At first I had to close my eyes. Then I just had to concentrate really hard. I could get infinite lives in just a few seconds. But then, that got kind of boring. And I was still dying a lot. I started working on something else. Being able to control my fighter without pushing buttons. It took me a month to learn. I stopped generating continues. I didn't need them anymore. My fighter jet could fly circles around the enemy just by me putting my hand on the machine.

As far as I know I was never caught. But then again, I never used my real name in the high score box. That would have been too obvious. So I came up with a new name. Or rather, initials. Something I could use for everything. i/o. I found it on the back of one of the arcade cabinets. At the time, I thought it was cool.

When I was ten my parents bought a computer. Or rather, my father's company bought him one. And It wasn't one of these slick shiny laptops people have now. No this was a giant box that made more noise than an airplane taking off. To play a game you had to use floppy disks. While dad was away on business trips I'd sneak onto the computer and play Number Munchers. It was great. Until...I sorta...well there was an accident.

I lost the floppy disk for the game. So I started roaming around my dad's computer files. None of them made any sense to me. But then dad came home early. And caught me looking around. He got really mad. And grounded me. Ground me, and there I was at fifteen years old. Normal ten-year-olds didn't get grounded (or so I thought). The next week dad went out of town again. Another business trip. So...I snuck into his office.

I found my game disks in the trash. Even the three I'd purchased with my own money. It made me...angry. So very angry. I went onto the computer and started going through my father's files, trying to find something I could delete. Something that I could get back at him with. But I couldn't identify anything. There were some schematics of weapons (but I didn't know it at the time). So I got even more angry. I started thinking about how it wasn't fair of him to take away what was mine. My head started to hurt. And then the computer fried.

Not literally fried. But..the screen went black. And then green. And then...a little blinking cursor came up. The hard drive had been erased. Entirely. I didn't know that until my father came home and started shouting about it. He blamed it on computer company. They said that only a technician could have wiped out the drive so effectively. My father threatened to sue. The computer company sent a new computer. My father was happy with that solution, but I was not. I'd destroyed a lot of data without meaning to. And it kind of scared me. I took a month long break from the computer after that. I learned to be more cautious when using my ability.

Years later, in high school, there was a lot of temptation. I had to pretend like I couldn't break into the network and change my grade (I never did, but I could have). I had to accept a D in typing because I'd gotten so used to not having to type. (I raised it to a legitimate B+ by the end of the year).

The only time I could be myself was after school. I was in the Computer Club. And there were only three members. Three members that paid no attention to one another. So for four years I continued working on my ability, and my knowledge. Accessing the school's online library gave me a whole lot of reading material. It wasn't quite the same thrill as an arcade game, but it was close.

In the middle of the biggest online test of my sophomore year, I discovered that I had a second power. I could generate and manipulate electricity. In short, I fried a computer. Literally. It would have been very cool had I not been in the middle of the biggest online test of the year. My English teacher gave me an 'F' and made me take a makeup test in detention on a Friday. I sped through the test and spent the weekend exploring my new power. By Sunday I'd made a milkshake with a broken blender, overloaded the electrical circuit in the basement, and fried several spiders who dared cross the threshold of my room. My father called an electrician to fix the basement. He blamed the blackout on faulty wiring and refused to pay the technician.

Despite my initial problems I graduated high school with honors. My mother gave me a hundred dollars and a hug. My father stopped talking on his cell phone long enough to shake my hand.

After high school I entered a liberal arts college and spent three and a half years working on a degree in computer science. I started exploring the internet and writing small scripts and miniature programs. From the college network I had access to a lot of other computers. I learned how to alter the IP address of my machine and make my actions untraceable. Towards the end of my junior year I began to try more...dangerous things. I started to see how far I could get into different websites. I'd accidentally stumble upon weapon schematics. Stuff from the company my father worked for. I never did anything with them. In the same way I never did anything with the government documents I stumbled upon. However I did debate on sending an anonymous letter requesting that the corporations upgrade their security.

College graduation wasn't very exciting. Dad was out of the country and my mother was working a double shift. I received my diploma and went home to an empty house.

After college I became a medium-level-income technical support worker. I worked in a cubicle. My computer at work was five years old and falling apart. And every day customers called to complain about their broken software. Its not the best job in the world. I had co-workers, but not friends. But that was the job that paid the bills.

Before coming to the Promenade, I thought I had a nice setup at home. I had two laptops, and my own mini-server all interconnected and hooked up to the fastest internet connection that can be provided by any company in the area . I checked. One of the laptops was for normal stuff. Surfing, chatting, buying things with credit cards. The other laptop was my training laptop. It was designed to be shockproof, waterproof, bulletproof, and has built in wi-fi. I hadn't tested the bulletproof part. The ruggedized laptop synced with my phone and my PDA.

When I joined the Society, I was able to upgrade my equipment. Though a lot of the old obsolete stuff is still in boxes. To be sorted?one day.
I joined the Society in hopes that my life would change for the better. I was so tired of the everyday drone work in the office. Well, let me just say that life in the Society was anything but boring. I won't go into details about everything that's happened since joining, but suffice it to say I've learned a lot about myself and my abilities. Both on and off the battlefield.

The biggest change in my life since I joined the Society was that I found Levi. We fought side by side before we knew each other. In between battles we found time to get to know one another and gradually became a couple. I can, and have, trusted Levi with my life. He is my other half, the man I love, and thankfully he doesn't mind being accidentally shocked every now and again.

What a busy few years it's been. After our return from the strange alien planet I resumed my training to work on improving my abilities. To provide me with melee combat skills, Levi taught me his own unique style of fighting. I was able to add my own personal touch to a few of the moves by incorporating electrical 'upgrades'. Once those lessons were complete I became the 'instructor' for a bit, in order to teach Levi how to wield electricity in his hands.

When I wasn't with Levi, upgrading my motorcycle, or working on fixing the spaceship, I worked on my 'command center'. Well it's not a "real" command center. I just like to call it that. Since the room next to mine was unoccupied I was given permission to remove the adjoining wall and expand my room. Now, half of the much larger room is occupied by computers, monitors, and other electronic equipment with lots of blinking lights. The equipment helps me practice my abilities as well as keep my coding skills up to date. Technology changes so fast these days, it seems. With a few of the computer I help monitor the Promenade's security system and keep tabs on the cameras, detectors, and alarms.

Hmm...what else...oh. I took Levi to meet my mother. We had dinner at my house. While my mother cooked, Levi and I talked and answered some (but not all) of her quesions. It was...nice. My mother was impressed by Levi's manners. My father...well, my father didn't have "time" to join the meal. But the three of us had a very nice time regardless. My mother requested that we visit more often. I'm thinking maybe next Christmas...

**NOTE: TRANSCRIBED BY THE DOCTOR IN THE NOVA CITY EMERGENCY CARE FACILITY**
(These are his words copied through an audio recorder)

Name:Steven McPhearson

Alias: Helios

Age: 22years 6 months 4 days 6 hours 51 minutes 50 seconds at time of writing

Powers: I can manipulate light. I can harden it, bend it, refract it, and in cases of what the Doctor calls extreme duress, produce quasars (the opposite of a black hole). Essentialy, I can produce constructs. That is why I am currently residing here, as the government ?persuaded? me to have several psychological and physical evaluations.

After I escaped, one of Patriot?s men found me and tried to capture me. The fact that I just brought a bloody building down didn?t discourage him apparently. In an attempt to subdue me, he hit me with a bolt of electricity. I lost control of my powers, and super-condensed the light around him, sending him to the center of a black hole. Unfortunately, the strain rendered me unconscious. When I awoke, I was connected to this strange generator. Apparently, I?m to apply to the Society after a brief stay here.

Don?t ask why.

Personality: I do my best to stay calm and professional in everyday situations. I like to find the logical solution to problems. In combat, I let my emotions run free. Do you know whats scarier than someone who can weaponize light? Someone who can weaponize light and is very, very angry.

I, like Shaps, am also sorry for disappearing. I guess I just didn't like the character at all, she was not fun to play. Also, I felt like a hindrance and that I wasn't wanted. Yeah, they're pretty shite reasons but whatever...
Good luck an' all.

Its not in first person, but we discussed this over Skype :D

I'm confused. Why do I have a reserve? :] Nevertheless, I'm thinking up characters. If I can come up with one I like, I'll join!

Side-Note: Why the young age limit?

The age limit is there because the Society wouldn't realistically accept someone that young. It would be kinda ridiculous if they accepted 13 year olds and brought them along to fight and army of power-armored soldiers who want to kill them.

The reserve is because Lizmichi and Counterattack thought you'd want to join, so we gave you one just in case.
