Yes it's another one of these threads. Anyway, I recently discovered this show called Gantz and it looks really good so I'm going to be checking that out. Anyway, does anyone else know of good anime shows that have a decent amount of violence?

I'm also going to check out Deathnote when I get my fat ass up off the couch.

Pokemon (if you are feeling crazy and want to relive your childhood)(PS it is better in Japanese, Some pars where cut because they were not suitable for American children. Nothing too bad.

Check out an anime convention. If 67% of the goers look the same, don't watch that show.

True, but a lot of people dress up as Deathnote characters and that's actually a good show.

s-CRY-ed, Ruroni Kenshin, any Gundam series, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Gunsmith Cats, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, Elfen Lied, all the .hack series, Madlax, Noir and Demashita Powerpuff Girls Z.
Those are all the anime I can think of off the top of my head, all good and some you've probably already seen or at least heard of already.

Code Geass. Especially if you like Deathnote. It's like Deatnote with a healthy dose of Gundam thrown in.

I trust that you have seen Fullmetal Alchemist and Fully Cooly, right?

By "decent amount of violence" I assume you are not referring to shows aimed at 13 year olds. Gantz is good, manga is a million times better. Worth a watch.

In no particular order
- Texhnolyze
- Shigurui
- Samurai Champloo
- Ultimate Hellsing
- Kurozuka
- Hokuto no Ken (if you can suffer through some filler)
Yeah, I probably should have clarified that. Anyway is Ultimate Hellsing really that good? That's the show about the one vampire named Alucard who hunts other vampires right?

Gantz is good. But once you really get into it, it ends. Be prepared for that.

If you're looking for violence then Higurashi no naku koro ni is a good one. Pleanty of wtf in that one to waste a lot of time pondering over.

Sadly, yes. I was watching an English Dub and because the part was not dubbed to English the people who posted the episode just left the scene in with the Japanese voices untranslated, so I do not know what James, Misty, or Meowth said. It was in the first season.
