I know this has probably been posted about before, but I did a quick search and it didn't turn up anything. somethinginthesea.com has received a large redesign. Before, it was just a collection of photographs and a few papers. Not it has transformed into a small office space. There are a lot more papers around, a lot more stuff to read. There's an arrow that allows you to move and see the rest of the room. Most interestingly is a chest with a lot of symbols written on it, I don't know what to make of it. We seem to be learning more and more about this character who is researching into finding the Big Sister. Discuss?

Can't believe they decided to ruin this game.

I loved Bioshock. Kinda sad that it sold so well.
You could at least wait until you have played it before saying something like that.

Curious.

I'm hoping my opinion will be changed soon, but for now, I still find the website to be more interesting than the prospect of the game itself...

I'm interested to see where they take it. My only issue is your moral choices. The good one, saving the little sisters, will end up being a pain in the ass I think. I hate protecting anything in an FPS, especially when I'm not very good at them. I'm kinda twitchy.

I have one question, is Bioshock 2 an actual sequel, or a prequel. I ask, as I've always though the game to be a sequel, but have recently seen a couple of magazines stating that the game is actually a prequel.

I'm still hoping it's the former, as it would change the context of all these mysterious disappearances the site refers to. My thoughts are, seeing that the people disappearing are all (in the sites own words) "famed but controversial", someone is hoping to use these people to rebuild Rapture, along with the new Little Sisters.

Actually, scratch that, have just noticed again that the two different spates of disappearances occured around 20 years apart...

Yeah, it's a shame that the people who made it were rewarded for their efforts and that so many people got to enjoy it.

Actually, I posted something a while back on the redesign. Do a search on "lunchbox" and "Bioshock" and the thread will turn up - including the combination to bust into that mysterious chest!

Really like what they've done in the site redesign. Wonder if any of these individuals, including Mr. Meltzer will factor into the new game. I'm assuming so, but we'll see...

Also, while Bioshock 2 is a sequel, I believe there's been talk of adding a multiplayer component that takes place during Rapture's heyday. Here's hoping these games are as good as their predecessor - fingers crossed!

Yes, I believe this happened a while ago. Interesting, but I wish they'd tell more about the story behind Rapture than just telling the same things.
