Something is wrong with the JRPG personality quiz

I'm sure this is the wrong forum for this, but I'm not sure where it should go. I do apologize if the moderators of this forum have to move the thread.

Anywho, I took the JRPG personality quiz just for giggles. I swear I answered every question correctly, but I somehow ended up with "The Sex Symbol." I'm not sure how, because I don't see any of the answers I gave as being related to sex in any way. This is all the more hilarious because I have no recognizable sex drive (yeah, it sucks; you would think not having it would mean I don't know what I'm missing out on, but the media takes every opportunity to remind me, so I'm actually quite vividly aware that I'm missing out on something) and I'm also ugly as sin and have a fairly grating personality, so there's no way that anyone would possibly be attracted to me.
So, seriously Escapist, I think you dropped the ball on this one.

Anybody else get funny results from this test?

I got the Old Veteran. I'm 19 years old so I wouldn't say it's terribly accurate, though I've been told by many people that I appear older due to my maturity and the vocabulary I use.

I think you need to remember it's a personality quiz based on JRPG archetypes we're talking about here. Expecting realistic results from a genre renowned for its characters that almost never react to a situation in what you might call a "realistic" manner is expecting quite a bit.

Reading the character descriptions helps

The "Sex Symbol" isn't necessarily just sexual, but the female character type who isn't quite so pure and, well, virginal-seeming as the standard female lead (aka the 'White Magic Girl'). They're more outgoing and worldly, and more experienced. They're also perceived as "hotter." We're talking Judith in ToV, Lulu, Tifa, Quistis in the FF games, Velvet in Odin Sphere, etc.

But, given that guys could ALSO get this result, we tried to make it more gender neutral. As in, someone more worldly who uses persuasion and personal charm to get what they want, and who is also seeking to enjoy life.

It's not meant to be super-gospel, people

If you choose attention grabbing,manipulative or seemingly innocent/care free options it would likely cast you between White Magicical Girl or Sex Symbol.

I wouldn't say it's an error if you answered along the lines of that but maybe a lack of broader classification.

I don't think there's something wrong with it. My first try I got comic relief which had a pretty accurate description. I took the quiz several more times to get the rest of the results. I love the description for the hero.

Edit: On closer inspection I've noticed this thread isn't to discuss our results, more the OP saying "Oh my life is so horrible! Boo hoo".

I got the White Magic Girl too. Which, as anyone who knows me can attest, is... not accurate.

And I'm not even talking about the gender bit.

Still, the reactions from my friends -- "It called you WHAT?!" -- were worth the price of admission.
