Something new in Planescape setting is coming soon?

So Chris Avellone has posted this on his Twitter feed:

It's basically a website with "Planescape" name on it and a countdown (as of writing these words there is 1 day and 5 hours left).

So, who wants to speculate on what this is?

While I want a new game in Planescape setting (as it's a damn interesting one), I think that this being a Planescape: Torment HD re-release is a bit more plausible.

It's the most plausible. Looking at the HTML code on the page you will find this:



Checking 0x50, 0x53, 0x54, 0x45, 0x45 against the ASCII character codes list [http://www.phanderson.com/C/ascii.html] yields PSTEE which should stand for Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition to go with Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition.

Yes, he is. He's one of the writers, rather. He was also behind Planescape: Torment among other titles.

Yep, i looked it up on Wiki and he was also behind the original Planescape. Never played Torment but loved PoE. Have to play Planescape Torment some day. Will wait for the reveal though.

That's neat but I was expecting a Planescape setting book for 5th Edition or a campaign, so I'm a bit disappointed.

Any news if there's any tweaks to combat? I've tried playing through the game several times, but just can't get past the sheer amount of dialogue combined with messy, boring combat.

I don't know, really. I've not really sought out much information but I have heard that the pathfinding has been improved in the game, so I imagine combat might also be reworked.

If reading dialogue is a problem for you, then no amount of combat tweaks are going to help you like this game.
PS:T is a game where the pen is, indeed, mightier than the sword.
