... there are no green lightsabers in A New Hope?

Or did I miss the latest Special Edition where Hayden Christensen warps from the past with Liam Neeson's lightsaber and explains to the audience that Boba Fett will totally escape the Sarlacc pit if, like, they really want him to?

The Prequals were not bad.

Only Phantom Menace was bad. And if you have the original 2003 Clone Wars mini series its makes up for a decent psuedo trilogy of movies and on the whole much better than the Force Awakens.

And I am not trolling you when I said Attack of the Clones, Clone Wars 2003, and Revenge of the Sith combined is better than The Force Awakens.

What drives you, Samtemdo? Like, exactly nobody asked for a prequel apologist session, but you're delivering one anyway.

OT: I agree and now I know why. Not important but always fun to know these things.

If you want me to go back on Topic, very well.

Because A New Hope was the first movie so they did not thought ahead for green lightsabres and heck if you look at the original un-edited version of it, they looked rather colorless. And the colors and their associations came as the Expanded Universe developed it.

Thread question answered.

As others have said, in the earlier versions of a New Hope the colouring of the lightsabers had not been decided yet mostly switching between blue-colourless-green. In particular, I think if you look up the scene where Luke is training against that flying ball thing with the blast helmet on, the lightsaber looks green.
Correction, apparently this is from the 2004 DVD re-release, not the original.
Here's the original:

Yeah but then you also have this from the original.

To me it's always been indisputably blue. I mean, even the prequels confirm it - it was Anakin's lightsaber, which was blue.

The Phantom Edit is better than Force Awakens. Revenge of the Sith is on par with Force awakens. The other two are whole magnitudes worse, whether alone or together.

That's not what I asked, though.
Because I found this perticular question about Star Wars rather.....unremarkable.
I don't get why people hated Troy so much. It had a solid script, good acting, and awesome practical effects. Yet critics eviscerated it upon release. I'm not sure what they wanted from a rather well made movie.

Speaking of movies, you know what film I really liked? Jacobs Ladder. If they changed the ending it would be a phenomenal film.

You know what question always bothered me? In A New Hope it looks like Obi-Wans light saber gets smaller. I wonder why that is. Did he break the prop, and they just chose to keep it in?

What's wrong with the ending to Jacob's Ladder?

It just felt like a predictable ending to an otherwise brilliant film. I'm not a fan of the purgatory endings, or the endings where the character was asleep the whole time. Of all the brilliant theories being presented in the film, it felt like they settled on the least interesting one. I wish they had left it more open ended, instead of basically just handing us the answers. That's probably why I like Silent Hill 2 more, even though it was partially inspired by the film.

I love the doctor, though. I feel like his character balanced out the movie.

Okay I can understand that.

I guess just to me that while it was " predictable" the prediction comes from a strong sense of Storytelling that gives you the clues rather than throw a bunch of misdirection at you hoping that it will surprise you in the end.

A lot of movies with so-called twists rely more on the second thing, throwing a bunch of false leads at you so that you draw the wrong conclusions
