Apparently all Playstation launch editions have been sold on Amazon shortly following MS's and Sony's E3 presentations.

Eh means pretty much nothing until you get actual number of units sold. Nevermind potential supply issues.

Means something. Granted while this may not represent actual consoles sold in the end it does show people are definitely turning towards the Playstation 4.

I agree that we don't know what that means in terms of which console will do better, because it could be that Sony have a really sucky production chain and couldn't churn out many units.

It does mean that the slow start to the new generation that people were fearing probably isn't true of launch day at least.

Actually, no it doesn't. For all we know ps4 had 10000 units available through amazon, and xbox had 100k units. Unless someone has actual numbers all that we have is speculation :p

Yeah but the odds that Sony had pre-release numbers significantly lower than Microsoft seems a bit reaching. Especially if they probably figured the reaction they would get after e3.

Perhaps, I know they both use AMD chips, if memory serves. That being the case amd doesn't even own their own fab, so how is amd fulfilling the orders? (Is Microsoft getting it first? Sony? Some sort of mixed shipping scheme?). And that's also assuming that the fab is giving priority to amds order.

Agreed. This is just as pointless as when the WiiU's numbers skyrocketed on Amazon after the XBone's Reveal.

Can't imagine AMD would choose one over the other... will be interesting to see in the next 5 months the end result of all this hullabaloo.
