My words tend to enrage rather than help, so I ask please, take a look at this video it is supported by many people whom you may have seen here such as Movie Bob and Extra Creditz.
Please, take a look at it and if you support it good on you if not it's 3minutes not spent on watching a cat video, please take a look it may help the future of our internet.

Damn, was about to post the video myself... My greatest concern with this plan is how in all hell do we get players like IGN to listen? No matter how loud the entire community yells, I bet you any ammount of money that they'll still cover E3.

IGN's owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. They're not going to give a damn if anti-SOPA gamers scream protests at them with gigantic speakers that go to 11.

So basically, our only line of protest means nothing to the people that actually have a level of control over the situation. (Sorta) Small sites like the Escapist and Screwattack not covering E3 means next to nothing to the public at large. Especially the predominant groups of gamers, namely casual and MW addicts, won't know what the hell is going on. I mean, is there at least any way Microsoft will advertise their stance against SOPA on Xbox live, and also not publish any news about E3? We'd need a damn riot or something.

Lol, I just put this in Off-Topic.

And yes, IGN is owned by News. They will still be up and running.

Then it is simple. We must kill the Rupert Murdoch.

If that cannot be done let's target IGN. Take them down as well.

I have been looking forward to some good ol fashioned looting ever since this bill was announced. I knew from the get-go that there will be rioting because of this bill and by god I will be right.

EDIT: ... I realized. We need to recruit the internet's heavy artillery. We need 4chan. The hub of the most powerful trolls on the internet. I mean if they can spawn Anonymous, Lulzsec, and take down many sites like the MPAA and RIAA on their own imagine what they can do for us. They would be able to take down SOPA supporting websites with never ending DDoS attacks. That would do wonders for us.

Whelp... the most obvious way for any of us to support this would be to try and get the Escapist to not cover E3.

...

I'm just saying...

Best way to do that? Spread the news around. Go and tell everyone you know about this video and make a huge ruckus about it. Maybe some mods or admins will see it and spread the news inward.

I must say it's really strange actually hearing the guy who narrates Extra Credits in his normal voice. Kinda jarring from his persona in his videos. XD

But yeah. We need to spread the word. Our fight against SOPA and other bills like it has just begun.

The LRR guys are pretty big deals here.

Agree with the bit about Daniel, although James looks terrified.

Hmm...maybe I shouldn't have deleted my Facebook so soon. Oh well, when school starts I know what I'm going to yell at my COD friends >:). Hopefully this 'boycott' gets more attention and people with it, yes including the Escapist.

EDIT:I do feel sorry for devs that are planning things for E3. Not a good time at all.

Just saw the video elsewhere and immediately came here to see if the Escapist was planning on participating.

Please, Themis Media, I ask, nay, beg that you take a stand against the ESA's support of SOPA and PIPA by neither attending nor covering E3 this year. Let the ESA know that the gaming community does not approve in the only way they will listen: their pocket books. Please also refrain from allowing advertisements for E3 appear on your website.

Thank you.

I, too, came to check if the Escapist (and their various correspondents) were going to be joining in on the boycott. Please support the (world) community!
