Sound that drives you insane.

Hello all,
First posting here but it is about something that is currently driving me crazy at work and I need to vent and not stab someone.

Do any of you have a sound that makes you want to commit bloody, horrific, Saw-esque style murder on someone? Some guy here at work makes the sound akin to a cat when its breeding time. Since I work in a foundry, everything is load so people can be loud and say dumb stuff and no one cares but this sound he makes every day drives me bat-shit crazy. It's not like nails on a chalkboard or fork on a dinner plate which is annoying and hurts the ears. This drives me to wanting to walk down there and kick this guys ass just for a sound.

Now before you think I'm entirely crazy(cause lets face it everyone is a little crazy in some way), I'm a relatively calm individual who doesn't seek out confrontation.

Just curious if any of you have a sound that sets you off. Until I started working here I didnt think I had one....

This is by far my biggest pet peeve.

It baffles me how people can make such loud and disgusting noises when they eat.

Eating and scuffling feet do bug the crap out of me, but not to the point of repeated face punching of the perpetrator.

And I agree with @Copper Zen, a sick baby at 3 in the morning does make an ear piercing sound.

I often find the worst offenders to be young men in high tops or Vans. IDK, maybe I just don't frequent places with teenage girls.

Dumbasses in sneakers that purposely drag their feet on tile to make that loud ass squeak. Usually mall rats.

Babies crying. Take your fucking kid outside and calm him down nobody wants to hear it and we shouldn't have to put up with it.

Barking dogs. Be it small or large I cannot STAND dog barks. Worst sound in my opinion.

Oh and I guess some people who make weird sounds when they eat, even with their mouth closed. I don't understand how they make all the sound but then I think maybe I'm the same and just can't hear it.

I just hate the noise that when you drag your hand on a desk or something similar.
Because my mind instantly goes to the flesh being stretched and snapped back and that just hurts my soul.

The sound of people humming when there is no tune, just noise for the sake of making it.
I work in a supermarket and it irritates me so much when customers stand really close and just hum. There is one woman in particular who comes in a few times a week and she sounds exactly like the Guilty Spark from Halo. It annoys me just thinking of her and that humming...urgh.

Don't know if this qualifies as a "noise" but I frickin hate it when people sing the same line from a song over and over again to themselves. At least learn the whole song!

Nothing worse then crying, screaming, annoying babies and young children sounds. I think I would honestly hurt them if I was alone with them. I am doing the responsible thing by not having children. Makes me wanna rip out all my insides.

Also sometimes loud cats and dogs can get on my nerves...sometimes.

I hate really fast Arabic...I don't understand it and it sounds aggressive, and is usually really loud & not something that you can drown out like other languages.

I also hate all phone ringtones.

Well, I have sensitive ears, so anything sharp enough is an irritant, but I will go with the sound of stupid. What is that? That's the sound(s) a person makes when their voice, their actions, and everything about them screams "No brain cells in head". Because it varies, it's actually hard to describe...yet when it happens, you immediately hate it.

The sound of sellotape being ripped off the roll. A couple years ago me and my ex were coming back from a festival when the car broke down late on a sunday night, so we had to wait in the car until someone could come pick us up. anyway he pulls out these rolls of sellotape and starts making a tape ball.... 3 hours went on with the constant sound of the tape being ripped.... Yeah i nearly punched him and the more i complianed the louder he ripped it. Ever sinne then it drives me insane.
