I just watched the "you're getting old" episode of south park and quite frankly, I was shocked. I was amazed at how a show that tries to sell itself as a simple satire cartoon can leave such a lasting impression on me. Watching stan lose his innocence while his parents divorced was one of the saddest scenes I have seen in a tv show this year. Most importantly, this episode seemed to mark the beginning of the end of south park, as the entire basis of the marsh's divorce was having the same shit happen week after week, just getting more outrageous in a direct relation to how matt parker and trey stone are beginning to view the show. I thought it was a brilliant episode and one of the best in the fifteen seasons. Thoughts escapists?
