WE all have our favourites, some are badass, some are sleek and some just make your face melts from their sheer beaut. So I ask you Escapists; what is your favourite ship design of all time? We aren't talking power levels or who can make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs just straight up awesome looking ships.

I'm gonna to start us off with the the Sr Normandy 1. Dem curves.

I don't know any space ships besides the Millennium Falcon. Do anti-gravity ships count? if they do the Auricom ship design from Wipeout HD

Behold my favorite: The Bird of Prey

Any Star Trek fan would know this beautiful Klingon ship. This has been my favorite spaceship since I saw my mother watching Star Trek in the 90's and the first thing I saw was this ship looking badass as hell. The actual Klingons...meh. I don't really like that race, just there space vessels.

There was a spaceship in a book I read that had a planet inside it. That was pretty awesome.

I'm going to have to go for Culture ships, created by Iain M. Banks. They're huge (several hundreds of kilometers large) have super-intelligent AIs inhabiting them, and house an entire civilisation, by just wandering round space and swapping passengers every now and then. They can also change their internal structure at will, so you can get whole ecosystems in them, or nightclubs.

I really like the designs of the human ships in Halo. Like this one for example. It kind of looks like a giant gun to me, and giant space ship guns are awesome.

The Raven from EV Nova.

Absolute behemoth of a ship, but still easy on the eyes.

Serenity, a rusty bucket, but one with tonnes of personality and one hell of a story to tell. It's a shame someone shut it up while telling it.

Fox. I will...CUT...you...

I'm fond of the Daedalus class ships in Stargate.

Also the NX-01

Screw your curves, we have Captain Archer!

I prefer the Vor'cha or the Negh'Var class Klingon ships myself. They're damn imposing.

On the Federation side, I really like the Nebula and Akira classes.

That line is probably the pettiest gripe I have with SW...

Anyway... I'm rather torn between...

Oh yes, that's a beauty.

But on the other hand: The Andromeda Ascendant, Glorious Heritage-class heavy cruiser High Guard ship from the Old Commonwealth. There's few sentences as badass as this one.
Also, the ship's AI is Lexa Doig.

While I'm not a Trekkie but I always like that Bird of Prey class Vor'cha
I just like the shape and its apperance and also the colour (that image doesn't show it too well as it's more of a turquoise colour).

I was always a fan of the Outrider. I think of it as a sleeker, more maneuverable Millenium Falcon.

Isn't that the SR1 you have a picture of there?

Oh well. My favorite would be the Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor.

Why do I suddenly feel like a piranha in a school of great white sharks?
