After ten years in development and six years spent evolving through Early Access, spaceship colony sim Space Haven has finally hit Version 1.0. The ambitious sci-fi survival game from Finnish indie studio Bugbyte Ltd officially launched this week, bringing what the three-person team describes as the “complete version of its sprawling space sandbox”.
Space Haven first landed on Steam Early Access back in 2020 and has steadily built a dedicated following since then, picking up more than 700,000 sales while layering on new systems, features and community-requested changes. Travelling the same path, we have had the likes of Rimworld and Going Medieval, which have all helped bring hardcore colony sim management to the masses with the help of their dedicated communities.
