I think their music is distinctly average [http://www.ssbb.org.uk/].

Because it's one of the few half-decent LOCAL multiplayer games.

To me, local multiplayer is like the concept of "banter" (casual slagging off of mates). If there's only two of you, it's just going to make you hate each other, if there's more of you then you will all want to contribute and it becomes fun.

I don't have a Wii, I don't like fighting games, I think the list of characters is pretty weak too.

I'm quite fond of it, for being a rather fun and unconventional interpretation of one of my favorite genres.

This is true. Would it have killed them to include woodwinds?

It's one of the few games I can sit down with and play with friends IN ATHE SAME ROOM!!!
So few games give you that now...seriously X-box why give us 4 controllers when all your games a single player, or XBL multiplayer??????

It's one of the few fighting games that doesn't require hours of careful practice just to understand one combo.

And reactions from Final Smashes with friends is always a chuckle.

I think it is a fun party game to have around if you are gonna have a party or something. Not very fun when you're by yourself though.

I haven't played SSBB but I've played the two previous SSB games. I like both of them very much but only when playing it with friends - single player gets old very quickly.
Why I like those two SSB games (multiplayer):
1. Anyone can join, button mashing can kill the elites. (The elite will win in 1 on 1 though because then there's not as much chaos.)
2. A lot of funny stuff happens in the chaos, especially if you have items enabled.
3. A lot of characters to choose from and a lot of maps. (Yes, That guy will be there but as I said, anyone can join. And it's great to have someone to measure your strength against 1 on 1. Besides, in my case That guy (who is my friend) was a very nice guy and pwnd so hard at every game that he didn't feel he had to prove anything i.e. he played for fun, not for the sake of showing us how much we sucked at it compared to him.
4. I wasn't very old and didn't have a lot of games so it didn't take that much to please me. But it still counts 'cause I didn't only think it was a good game, I thought it was the best (multiplayer).

When there's several people around to play it, it's a blast. Otherwise, it ranges from "pretty decent" to "boring."
