Star Wars Battlefront 3

Just thought I'd post this where visible since I saw something that surprised me in another topic.
A lot of people didn't know that Star Wars Battlefront 3 was actually in production and more or less finished!

I'll re-post my post as a topic so it can be used for discussion

I got some good news for you. Prior to the recession, Free Radical was developing a new Star Wars Battlefront 3. Here is some footage of it before the project was put on hold for an uncertain period of time.


The game was over 75% complete at the time of that showing.

Now for the (not as good as I hoped) good news...

Trailer removed, sorry guys I fell for a hoax on that trailer, however I've heard from numerous sources that production has restarted with more funding, the leak is real and I can stand by that.

That's right, with more funding it's being released! As you can see by the release date, they are using the pre-existing game materials in the one to be released this year!

If you watch the leaked footage from pre-recession it looks as if they were planning and developing a campaign. I wonder how that will work however

anyway, yeah the game was never canceled, it was put on hold, which fair enough usually ends up in canceled but not in this case

Ooo, good eye, that's something I never noticed before. A possible explanation was that pandora was forced to downsize if I remember correctly during the recession, perhaps they were forced to let their PC Dev staff go?

i saw the title and i was ready to say it's never happening. and now... best news EVAR!!!2@!! i battlefront when i was little now their finally done screwing around with the stupid psp titles. this game should have been made a long time ago. 4 player online splitscreen would make this the best game ever. but we all know thats not gonna happen

YES!!! I hope they do ACTUALLY finish it this time. I've played both battlefronts to death, and I'm looking for a change. I don't really care if they change much, just need to clean up the graphics and animations a bit. And add more bots in battles. That was Battlefront 2's only downfall.

No, it's not.

That Battlefront 3 trailer was for a PSP game, which combined space and infantry battles. It wasn't that good. So the trailer's fake, posted under a fake name.

The footage may be genuine, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
