Ok, I need help again. I keep getting to 65% or so, but then I get overwhelmed and Kerrigan finally breaks through.

Generally I build a Perdition Turret in the each of the paths to my base, a Bunker w/Turret behind that, a Missile Turret and a Psi Disruptor in the middle. 2/3 Siege Tanks on each side. An SCV and a Thor on each side. That generally holds.

The problem is the Nydus worms. While the Siege Tanks take care of the close ones and the in-base ones, the ones farther out tend to be able to escape my meager air power, and they eventually start turning out Brutalisks and other nasties. Then, add in that the Artifact doesn't kill Kerrigan, and you've got the issue I have; you eventually just get run down.

I suggest a steady stream of banshee's right from the beginning.

I myself had three bunkers (with 6 marines each, plus extra bunker turret), the three marauders and two medics you start with, two seige tanks, an SCV and a thor on each side and put everything else into my banshee's.

Since you chose to have the zerg flyers completely crippled, you should put a lot into your air, specifcally banshee's, which are great ground attackers fully upgraded and faster than battlecruisers. They have no flyers, so you can go just about anywhere without any problems, save a group of Hydras here and there. I had a hunter killer group around 30+ and could easily have made more that can destroy Kerrigan and the nydus worms quite easily.

The zerg never stood a chance.

I had 2 bunkers on each side, a perd turret in front of those then spammed siege tanks. Used 10 battlecruisers to take out nydus/kerrigan. Put 4 bc in queue to replace the ones kerrigan kills right as she spawns.

Only fired the artifact once on the overlords, as I didn't bother with missile turrets. Cakewalk :(

Was really disappointed with the length of the campaign as well.

Get the Battlecruiser mercenary. With that one and the ones you already have, use Yamato gun on each of the nydus worms and then shift-click them back to your base for repairs (shift adds a waypoint right after the current action is completed). If you're having problems with energy management, build a couple more battlecruisers. One yamato gun kills a nydus worm, so no problems. Do it RIGHT after they spawn though.

That said, have shitloads of siege tanks at the choke points (along with bunkers, perdition turrets, SCVs for repairs, all of that good stuff). The zerg disrupter tower thing (if you got it) helps a lot too, i think. Build one on the ledges overlooking kerrigan's routes. (EDIT: nevermind, you already have that)

Like i always say: there's nothing more siege tanks can't fix.
Kerrigan tends to faceroll your army though, so always keep spares to reinforce whatever choke point she just took half your defense away from.
Never made much use of Thors. Too big and bulky. Rather build 2 more siege tanks.

And one last thing: after you finish this, play the mission in which you neutralize the nydus worms instead of the air support. Hella fun.
Not sure what difficulty you're playing it on though, i played on normal and it felt really unchallenging.
Can't. Never bought any of the other mercanaries other than the default War Pigs marines. Always preferred buffing my own units.

Also, is it just me, or do Goliaths suck ass compared to the SCI and Brood War?

Nope. Even fully upgraded Goliaths are still terrible.

And now I ahve another problem. I can't get my "Complete on 29 Missions on Normal" achievement. I've beaten the game, and gone back and done the alternate versions of the missions I missed (Safe Haven, Ghost of a Chance, Belly of the Beast) and it still says 25/26 missions complete.

Umm, really? The campaign wasn't short by any means at all... Seriously, I highly doubt you even realize how much time you played the game to beat it.

I got rid of the nydus worms, I thought they would be worse then the air, and sounds like they were. What I did was build a ridiculous amount of battle cruisers, and every time kerrigan came, I would yammato cannon the shit out of her. She would only be able to take out 1-2 battle cruisers, which would easily be replaced before she came again!

My brother beat the Nydus Worm variant on Hard mode yesterday, and as the game suggests the key really is to destroy as many Worms as you can.

With the Energy Nova and your starting defenses you can easily hold on for the first 10 minutes, long enough to make a squadron of 6 or more Worm-Killing Banshees and fortify both entrances to your base and the two ramps to the artifact with Siege Tanks and bunkers (no turrets needed). Ensure the tank lines on your left and right sides have the same range so that the Zerg are drawn to both at once, dividing their focus. After that, Battlecruisers can perform double-duty in large numbers- Yamato Cannon is the number-one Kerrigan killing device, and the Energy Nova does hurt her even if it can't kill her.

Great finale, eh?

The finale was awsome! Little shocked though:

Why did Tychus Findlay had to die?! He was my favourite... Or at least I assume he died, as you didn't actually see it.

I have three words fo you: Zerg Hive Emulator

If you have it researched then it's a life saver in that mission. I built three at each entrance and used them to brainwash every ultalisk i saw. By the end i had an army of about ten of them ready to smash any incoming zerg.
I hear you man. Used them on the previous mission to steal Ultras, BroodLords and mutas.(I chose to disable the zerg air power)Steam-rolled the zerg with their own units. Didn't send anything terran but a few specters.

Specters? You evil guy! I chose the ghosts over the specters as ghosts are way cooler ;)

Specters are the good choice, if u free the prisoners it turns out most of them were scientists and the such who where against Mengsk, also if u still have the lady doctor on board, she tells you that theres nothing to show that specters would be any crazier then any other human. The ghost chick is lieing to you, just like Tosh says

You missing the secret mission. On the level that you assault the TV station with the Odin, on the lower right corner of the map, there's a Science Facility, destroy it and pick up what it leaves behind. When you get back to the Hyperion there will be an extra mission to do. It has "SECRET MISSION" on the name, kinda impossible to miss. ^^

By the way for the final level I find using an army of banshee's is much better than BattleCruiser's. They are much faster than the 'cruiser's and a pack of them clear out a nydus worm pretty fast.

Unfortunately, the hot girls in video games are always the lying dirtbags.

Curse you, gaming industry!

Not to mention that the specters have better abilities than the ghosts. Choosing to side with Nova was never an option for me anyway, as her game (starcraft: ghost) was never released and for some reason I blame her for it.

Anyway, choosing to get rid of the nydus worms is by far the better option, as the waves of flyers can be easily dealt with by building 8-10 missile turrets (which you should have upgraded fully) along the edge of your base. Place a few SCV's among the turrets so they get repaired if they get damaged, and you can pretty much just ignore the warnings that zerg flyers are incoming altogether. This made the last mission almost disappointingly easy.

Got my ass kicked once on hard and then decided to use my brains.

Four bunkers at each side filled with marines and a medic in each. Four-five siege tanks at each side and a perdition tower or two. More than enough to keep things at bay.

Just to make sure I built a bunker or three around the artifact and kept three battlecruisers there for backup.

All you then need to worry about are the nydus channels. An army of ten banshees kept care of that.

All in all, the zerg never even touched the artifact.

Well, I had the research which allowed to to build supply depots automatically. So, infront of my bunkers I just kept building them :) And I had about 4 seige tanks at each side on the higher ground, along with two thors and bunkers with 4 marines and a marauder (research again). Then I had a groups of banshees and 3 battle cruisers (the cruisers took care of any worms that popped up in my base). I sent the banshees out to take out the worms and I don't any zerg actually got in to my base except for right at the end. As for kerrigan, well, seend out the battlecrusiers and banshees but when you attack he, make sure she is in range of the seige tanks. Use the Yamato cannon on her and she gets taken care of pritty quickly. The trick is to have plenty of SCV's working away and getting a good defense at either side, so your not to busy repairing bunkers and such :)

I had the Banshees attack the Nydus Worms with their cloaking powers, and also used them on Kerrigan. She kills a bunch of them, but you can make more. Perdition Turrets, Bunkers, and Siege Tanks hold off anything else, with SCVs to repair. That was enough to get past Normal - Hard, not so much.
