[HEADING=2]The Ghost Program[/HEADING]

"Somebody call for an exterminator?"
"Commander Tian. We've received a new shipment of possible trainees for the Program."
The hulking, bearded man kept his back to his thinner subordinate, gazing into the star-pricked depths beyond the viewing screen. "And you bring this news to me why, Lieutenant?" The Commander grunted. "We have hundreds of possible trainees." Disdain smeared the last bit; they had not been very successful in finding anything more than moderately able children.
The lieutenant hesitated. "Sir... these are different."
"Different... how?" Commander Tian turned to face the lieutenant, his arms behind his back. He looked expectantly as the man squirmed under his eyes.
The lieutenant handed Tian a datapad. "Sir. Their PA scores are-"
"I want them in that Academy. Now, Lieutenant."

Combat. The Art of War. Riddled with death, fear, and uncertainty. Nothing strikes fear into the heart of a foe quite like an unseen foe, striking from afar, disabling machinery and murdering men before they realize they have passed. Nothing like a Ghost.
For those interested, you will be playing as a squad of ultra-talented children entering into the Ghost Academy in the Terran Dominion, shortly after Kerrigan's retreat into Unknown Space (Just after the events of Starcraft: Brood War). You will be put through grueling exercise, horrific tests of will, and bloody feats of strength. Through it all, you will craft a unique Ghost who will contribute to the squad in his or her own way.
That is, if you survive.
Game Rules
Before I go any further, I have to give props to [user]Tsurugi[/user]; the setting of this game is almost directly ripped from his RP of the same name. However, it died, due to uninterested players, despite its many merits. I am here to take his game and master it, turn it into a game that I think will be both a unique experience and a memorable one.
The game will be played thusly; In what will be known as a "Mission Post" (outlined in the spoiler box below this paragraph), I will give a mission to you. You are tasked with writing a short story (No length limit; whatever you feel is sufficient) wherein you and whatever characters I say are with you complete the mission.
[HEADING=3]Mission Post #0[/HEADING]
Characters available: Player Character, two other Player Character Squadmates.
Mission: Sneak into Commander Tian's cookie jar.
Reward: +1 to Tastiness
Description: The Commander asked for it, making you fail that test by distracting you. You'll get him back though, won't you? Bribe the Marines, sneak through the ducts, whatever happens, you'll get that bastard back; by stealing his sweets.
Now. The observant among you will realize a little thing in that spoiler box labeled "Reward"
Let me explain. I will personally be reading and judging the post made by each character. I will select one poster as the Victor. The victor will receive a bonus, decided by me, to be used at his or her discretion. The bonuses range from special equipment for your character (Such as flash grenades, enhanced Lockdown abilities) to Mission Skips (Which allow you to skip a single mission; sort of like a get out of jail free card).
Guidelines for Entries
It's rather simple, really. Grammar and spelling are vital. Make it interesting. Long enough to do what needs to be done, but not so long as to be boring.
Now, onto the first step. Character Generation. But first, a bit of background on the Ghost Program.
The Ghost Program is a program for the education of Terrans to become the feared Ghost units. All children in the Terran Dominion are given a Psi Aptitude (PA) test within twelve months of birth. If they are deemed to be of the proper power, they're taken by the Dominion to one of a few Ghost Academies scattered throughout the Dominion. However, fringe-worlders are sometimes able to escape detection for several years, although never for more than ten years.
Students of the Ghost Program are subjected to harsh training regiments to indoctrinate them to the will of the Dominion and train them to fully utilize their Psionic and physical abilities. After graduating, if they get that far, they are regarded as full Ghosts and are deployed into the field.

Remember; it might be more interesting to read about a character that has to think rather than just Psi his way through every mission)

Note: Once again, a big HOORAH to Tsurugi for coming up with such a magnificent RP idea.
