Steam is being horribly slow, nothing is loading, but I suppose they're having a lot of traffic right now so I'm going to look back again in the morning.

I'm hoping to pick up Fallout 3, New Vegas, Far Cry 1 and 2, and if I'm really lucky....Skyrim.

Any tips for getting the best deals in this sale?

The gift pile idea is intriguing as well, Valve really know how to keep a buzz around Steam.

I have a huge amount of games I want to buy during this Christmas sale insanity, but right now I'm trying to figure out whether they're be crazy enough to eventually sell reasonably new, full-price retail games (such as the new Deus Ex) at a 75% discount.

The developers catalogue are a huge money saver, else check out the separate daily games which they have up on the front page, odds are if it´s not a very recent game it´s going to end up there and you can save quite a bit also.

I'm praying to the great gods on high that I'll be able to talk someone into buying me Metro 2033 today. 75% off=4.99 instead of 19.99? I have 22 hours to convince someone...

Makes me wish my computer could run anything made in the last 5 years.

But EVERY game on Steam? Does that mean like, that there is now, or that there ever will be too? Either way that is the textbook definition of "overkill". I mean, even if I got a better computer and won, I still don't think I'd ever get around to playing like, more than 20 of them. Ever.

Good God Almighty...

Every single game?

You couldn't possibly beat them all like... ever. You couldn't split them up between ten friends and beat them all... ever.

I mean, that might be nice but damn.

Now, watch, some bloke with a turd of a laptop who just downloaded Steam for the hell of it will win it and NEVER USE IT.

Actually, how does one get coal anyway?
You either get that or a christmas present when you clear one of those daily "quests". Gather 20 coal and you can craft it into a present. Or save them and you might win something from that list.

Pretty sure that "every game on Steam" is more gametime than there is time in a Human lifespan, your GRANDCHILDREN would be playing through that collection (assuming they don't sell it for god-knows how much that account would be worth)

...It begins...

I have everything I want from Steam's older catalogue. I don't see them heavily discounting recent games, and while I'm interested in a couple of them, they will need to be heavily discounted before I buy them. I'm sticking to my guns with Skyrim, either $30 or GOTY edition for $50, not $90 USD.

So today I'm looking at Fable III for $12.49, sorry Fable III, that is still too much, the bundle with The Next Big Thing in it which is a possibility or an MMO which I don't enjoy. Que Sera Sera. It might be time for me to stop thinking of myself and start buying gifts. Who do i know that needs Amnesia, Max Payne 2 or Metro 2033 in their life?
