As some of you know, its a hell of a lot more expensive to buy games on steam in euros thans in dollars. After serious interneting i have given up on finding a way to change my steam to get my prices in dollars instead of euros.

For example:

Skyrim is out for 50 euros here and 50 dollars over there, what that means is that if i buy it now it will cost me 67 dollars since thats how much the 50 euros are worth.

Now is it unreasonable for me to want someone in the US to buy me Skyrim for money i have sent through paypal, and am i a fool to think anyone on this site would actually do it and not just run of with the 50 dollars i so gullible sent?

For start, You can't change it - It's Locked to your region. And never, Ever trust people you have never met with your money. Skyrim is a new game and will cost a lot more on steam, at the moment it'd be more sensible to order it of a site, or get it retail

I do believe someone in Europe did the same thing that you're thinking about doing and ended up getting their Steam account banned. Sorry, I really wouldn't recommend it.

I've been looking for a solution to this myself, as Skyrim apparently costs $90 USD when bought from Steam in Australia. If you're looking to get around Steam region restrictions some of the advice on this [http://www.coflash.com/steam/] site may work, although it was written for an Aussie audience.
You might also be able to buy it for less on a site like this [http://www.greenmangaming.com/games/rpgs/elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-3-us/] one. It isn't quite the Steam US price, but it's better than nothing.

I can't vouch for the legitimacy of either of those sites, sorry. Good luck!

Listen what this man says. It's already happened and both parties involved had their Steam accounts locked and lost everything. Don't do it.

You're better off buying retail. A friend of mine bought it for $50 AUD on a gaming site, cant remember the name of it.
