Please tell me this is a joke?

EDIT: Im going to assume it is. A hardcore gamer is a guy who played bionic commando then ripped off his own arm and replaced it with a radio antenna. A hardcore gamer got the same tattoo as Kratos because he liked killing people so much. A hardcore gamer sneaks into an army airbase and steals a jet fighter because Ace Combat wasnt realistic enough.

Never done this? Then youre not a hardcore gamer

Huh, is -that- what that number means? I'm ten aswell, apparently. What's the rating based on by the by?

10 isnt that hard to get if almost all of your games are on Steam... It's, what 30 hours in 2 weeks? Yeah, I would not call that especially hardcore. If someone breaks 72 hours or something though, then we have someone who may be playing a bit much.

Steam Rating means absolutely nothing.

I could destroy someone with a Steam Rating of 10 and a guy with a Steam Rating of 1 could mop the floor with me. Entirely Based on Skill.

Mine is 8.3 by the way, usually higher, but I've started playing World of Warcraft more often. Now that summer has arrived however, that number should go up. ;)

It's determined by how many hours you've spent playing Steam games in the past two weeks.

Rating Table [http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Steam_rating]

I have a 5.3, so I'm "halfway cool".

Ha, ya DU, totally I joke.

I just wanted to hear other peoples ratings or highscores from their game/platform of choice.

My friend's got 90 hours of gmod every two weeks. A total of 1260 hours xD

I usually don't have that many, as I play WoW quite a lot, and it doesn't register in steam.

Ah righty then. Whew, only got 42 hours, and that's only from Team Fortress 2. God I love it :3

5.5.

Been slipping a lot recently, but then again I've been playing a fair bit of Gears of War, Civilization IV and Fallout 3, which I only run through Steam, and as such they don't count towards my rating.

I've often wondered about that little number and what it symbolized. Now I know.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

-is also a 10 from way too much Dawn of War-

When ya go to the Community tab and go to your profile and look at Gameplay Stats there's a score there. The significance of this number is supposed to be if you play steam more the more l337 you are at all games you own.

I have a ten but that's easy to achieve when i have a plethora of games, log on every single day, and play games entirely too much. I just added up my hours and its around 1.3 - 1.5 thousand hours over all games. x.x

0.8.

The only game I can play without major framerate issues is Trackmania, so I don't play much.

I remembered there was a title that followed that number. Then some idiot complained that only playing 5 hours in 2 weeks did not give him a cool title. This idiot spawned other idiots and thus the end of SCREAMING EAGLES and assorted came.

Got 9.4.
