Now the sale has begun, what games have you bought? And what games have you been tempted by?

So far I've bought:
Terraria - £1.50
Hard Reset - £2.50
Bioshock 2 - £3.50
Lara Croft: Gardian of Light: £2.50
Alan Wake Franchise - £7.75
BRINK - £3.75.
Painkiller - £2.25
Trine - £1.75
Bastion - £2.85
Fallout New Vegas - £3.75
Metro 2033 - £3.75
Fear 3 - £3.25
Amnesia - £3.25
Total: £42.35.
Saving: Close to £120.

Time to download: 5 days T.T it won't take that long but it's still kinda depressing.

Been tempted by the 2k and Bethesda bundles, but just hoping for the games to go 75% separately since I don't really want to spend the £40, if I don't want all the games.

Currently hoping Metro 2033 goes down to a couple of quid, and a bigger discount on Bastion since I never seem to have access to the internet when it's in an indie bundle. Got Bastion :3.

I swear once I've bought Morrowind I'll stop. Please steam stop selling my wishlist games at 75% off, I didn't want to spend more than 20 quid.

For those Mac users out there.

Free free to post any extras you've got for trade since I expect people are going to end up with quite a few by the end of the sale.

I've been a bit foolish. I thought I would only buy one or two little things since usually I'm pretty good at restraining my spending, but those prices are so damn cheap! So far I've got:

Deus Ex: HR The Missing Link - £2.24
E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy - £1.99
Tine 2 - £2.99
Half Life 1: Source - £1.49
Half Life 2 - £1.74
Assassin's Creed: Revelations Gold Edition - £11.89

That's a total of £22.34. Yikes. Time to stop spending I think.

I have been tempted by Morrowind. I already have Morrowind on Xbox (although a friend is borrowing it right now) but I felt like it might be worth a purchase on PC. I think I'll keep away from that unless there's a super high reduction right at the end of the sale.

So far I've got:

  • Analogue: A Hate Story - $4.99
    Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes (with DLC) - $4.50

A little less than $10 spent so far. My self-restraint is definitely being put under stress, though. XD

Only the assassins creed revelations gold edition. Was going to get the ubisoft bundle, but the main reason I was getting that was for assassins creed, and then it won the community sale thingy.
It was 30 aussie dollars, which I'm pretty happy with, although I'm sure it was far cheaper in other countries. Screw you steam :mad:

So far I've only bought Hard Reset, and only because it was 75% off and I didn't think it would go any lower. Most of the games I'm looking out for, as far as I know haven't yet dropped any further than what they're currently at. However, since Lone Survivor did appear in that bundle on the first day, I don't think it's likely to go lower on its own.

And there's the possibility I slept through more than a few "flash deals" on stuff on my wish list, which is irritating.
~~~~~~
Edit: Can someone tell me if I missed a flash sale on any of the following?
-Prototype
-Crysis 2
-Far Cry
-Ys Origin
I know I definitely skipped over Rayman Origins because there were other games I wanted more and Paypal's "3 to 5 business days" thing annoys me. I'm also pretty certain, from an above post, that Analogue hasn't yet gone lower than -50%, and looking at how Lone Survivor still costs the same outside the bundle, I don't think Zeno Clash will drop (though $2.99 is pretty good.)
I believe I seen most if not all the flash sales and I haven't seen any of them pop up, because of they had, I would have bought them.
So far I've only got Amnesia, Rayman: Origins and Legend of Grimrock, totaling in at £25. I plan to empty my wallet much further, I'm afraid.
Football Manager 2012 - $7.49
Lara Croft: Guardian of Light- $3.79 I think? can't remember what that one was.
I have just about damn near everything I want from steam to be honest, there are only a few things that are being stubborn and don't go on sale (at least to the price that I want).
Almost bought the AC Revelations deal, but saving for other games coming out this fall instead.
Given that every person on this forum has at some point spent $60 on a new game (or so I'd be willing to bet), and most probably do this multiple times a year, why is that we start wincing when our spending during a steam sale reaches that?
Mainly because when you normally buy a $60 game, it's with money you've planned ahead of time. As in I've saved x amount for x new game you know that the game is worth your money and you're happy to spend it. When a steam sale comes along with it's flash deals you have a small window of time to determin whether the game is worth it or not. So it feels like there's a larger eliment of risk. Also people have a habbit of spending much more than planned to, which leads to buyers remorce as you know you're not going to play all these games in the near future.
Or at least this is what I assume the reason is, I was pumped for the start :D.
So far I've bought Portal 2 for $4.99, and the Realm of the Diggle Gods DLC for Dungeons of Dredmor, which set me back $1.19 or so. The only thing I really want out of this sale is ArmA II so I can play Day Z, but those were too good to pass up.
As for spending $60 on a single game and complaining about the sales: no idea, I've never spent more than $40 on a new game, and then it was for one I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt my options were "buy it now, or never see another copy again once the initial batch of new ones runs out." I've never really had a problem with self control when it comes to Steam sales, either, as my very short list of purchases this year will attest; it helps that it's mostly the same things that go on sale every time, so eventually you have all the good stuff that's not a new release.
Indie bundles, on the other hand? I buy all sorts of crap in those things that I don't really want. There's usually one or two games in there that I do want, but man has it caused my games list to bloat in the last year or so.
I bought Portal 2 for 5$, I played it last year on Xbox but its great to have it now.
Also Dead Space 2 and Amensia. Dead Space 2 for future modding capabilities and Amnesia because I want to see what all the fuss is about.
I couldn't resist buying Max Payne 3 for $30(!) but I also bought AC: Revelations for $13.
Now which one of you chose Plants Vs. Zombies over Super Meat Boy?
So far only Payday the Heist. I was hoping to get the new Sins of a Solar Empire, but since that's not even on regular sale that's not likely.
Also seeing so many things in this thread that haven't been daily deals yet saddens me.
