Howdy all,
I'm looking for advice for my costume, as this will kinda be my first time dressing up for a CON. I'm going with a large group to NYCCC(New York Comic Con) and we are doing a steampunk theme. I'm not terribly fimiliar with steampunk outside some brief stuff like Avatar the Last Airbender(TV Show) and some minor Steampunk novels. Most of my interaction with Steampunk comes from the webcomic series, Girl Genius.
I'm male, however I'll be going in drag for this one. (Disclaimer: If you have problem with that, please just don't post. I will ignore any questions as to "why are you doing that?" or "what are you, gay?")
Anyways, I was hoping to get some advice as to what in a costume ,where to look for costume ideas or parts and lastly any pitfalls or issues you have experienced while building up said costumes.
