Yeah, stereotypes. They often aren't something someone wants to live up to, but let's face it. Some of us do. So, let's buck up and admit which ones we do live up to.

PLEASE, NO RACISM!

Me, the Irish stereotypes I live up to are I love potatoes, was raised Roman Catholic (I neither believe nor follow it anymore, but still), and I grew up with a poor family (I'm still poor).

German, I tend to yell and I can be bossy.

Swedish... well, I honestly neither know any stereotypes nor am I very Swedish to begin with (I think I'm 60 something percent German, thirty something Irish [my mother would like to believe otherwise, the nutter], and the rest is Swedish).

Your turn!

Typical Scouser stereotype.

Good sense of humour, lot's of kids, usually wearing Liverpool shirt, tracky bottoms and trainers.

And if you piss me off i'll nick your wallet.

I'm the "shut in" type of person.

I am good at video games, but suck at socializing in the real world, possibly because I don't go out very often...

Well for being Chinese-
I sometime valve food abit (I'm not a glutton). I mean e.g. someone made a thread about a giant duck and tiny horses and I comment if a giant duck will taste good (I like eating duck).
I have rice 90% of the time during dinner (yes I had tried other meals type but I have grown accustomed to it since I had it all of my life since childhood).
I work hard especially at my current job (since I was unemployed for a while which I do not want to go back to).

Also I'm antisocial since I prefer a night in than a night out (I'm not the social type at all) and I can be lazy at times glued to the PC.

My non-alcoholic drink of choice is tea so that accounts for the Englishman. The Scot in me imbues the Iron Stomach ability, granting reduced effects from alcohol.

As for non-nationality based ones, I probably fit into the Geek stereotype. That I have a Mega Drive, PS1, PS2 and SNES hooked up to the TV and controller adapters for each one to connect to my PC too is probably proof enough. Then there're the game soundtracks, collection of vinyl records, cult comedy dvds and my knack for tinkering with electricals.

You forgot the American stereotype of clinging to far removed European ancestry.

I'm from the NY-metro area and I guess you could say I'm suspicious of and rude to strangers. As a New Jerseyan, I've never pumped my own gas (petrol for you Brits), and I do swear quite a bit.

I've become a bit of a stereotypical music elitist recently.

I know, it annoys me too... but what annoys me even more are those idiots who will only like a song if it has a heavy, catchy guitar part & easy sing-along chorus! ARGH! EXERCISE THOUGHT, I COMMAND THEE!

I've got some Irish ancestry and I love potatoes of nearly all kinds ( I dislike potatoes au gratin).
I also fit into some geek/nerd stereotypes. I like to read books and comic books, I like anime and I'm a gamer. I am a bit of a grammar Nazi (and I will correct or mock friends if they use improper grammar or non-existent words).

Finally, I work in retail and I hate most of the people that come in to my store.

Yep, that's me, too... science geekism as well, or rather, maths. Though thankfully, that's rather fallen by the wayside now.

Can't think of much else tbh...

Well, I?m black and I like fried chicken. Apparently, that means I conform to what was a stupid stereotype in the first place, but I don?t like it an excessive amount, or any more so than my white friends. And I've recently stopped going to KFC because of how they mistreat chickens, but I've never been one to uphold a strict moral code, so we'll see.

And I guess I somewhat fit the nerd stereotype. I don?t have many close friends, I?m socially awkward, I?ve never had a proper girlfriend or even gone any further than a mere kiss with a girl, I tend not to go out a lot, I lack fashion sense, I've always been in top set for English, I?m an articulate writer, I'm a stickler for correct grammar, and most of my time's spent on the laptop having discussions with strangers about Dragon Ball or video game stuff on forums. I don?t know whether or not a stutter exacerbated in social situations counts too.

I'm British:
I have bad teeth (I live in Canada) but I have braces.
I speak with the typical "posh" British accent and it really shows, now that I live in Canada.
Toilet humour is the funniest shit ever (see what I did there :p ?)

I pretty well fulfill the English stereotype - RP accent, went to boarding school, have a strange hobby, usually seen in a suit, love history, drink copious amounts of tea, prefer bitter to batspiss lager, pretty cold and distant to strangers, not very good at easy going informality, watch cricket, keep my private life private, and prefer pragmatism over idealism

I have IKEA furniture, I'd never even consider waiting a single second with any sexual act -- if I'm okay with something then I'm okay with it right away without any time spent getting to know each other. I'm an atheist. Guess what country I'm fröm.

I read a manga book every day and so far I've read 2,527 of them. I wear glasses. I have no muscles. I have no girlfriend. Yes, I'm a nerd.

my asian side is pleased by my obsession with rice. I don't really fit the geek/nerd stereotype despite spending my time on these forums....Oh and as a Murican, I like my grilled burgers and fries (homemade of course).

I'm an Aussie, so. I'm racist? Not really. Racism disgusts me. I can't hold my booze particularly well either since I stopped drinking (being a student is hard, being a good student is even harder; sacrifices must be made).

I'm also British (English parents and Citizen of Great Britain), I fucking love tea. I never seem to get along with French people either, but I've only met about 3 or 4.

I'm a nerd I guess, I play D&D and like dragons and spend all of my spare cash on gaming or gifts for my girlfriend. I did work at a game retailer, but they're closed now. I also read almost exclusively fantasy novels. I'm also pale, and thin.

(EDIT: Wow, this paints a really poor picture of me. Viewing me through such a narrow frame of reference is incredibly unflattering and uninteresting.)

Well, this isn't about me but my extended family comes from London (not the posh parts) and talk like people who aren't afraid to break some kneecaps. Whenever I see London mobsters in movies I'm like `Aw, they talk like my great-uncles!`.

I'm English and I used to have bad teeth but I had braces years ago.

Other than that, I'm not really sure what kind of stereotypes there are about female nerds.
Um...I don't love Nathan Fillion.
But I do kind of love David Tennant.
