I really thought theyed announce somthing at captivate but theres still nothing. I just want them to confirm it even if it'll take like 3 years to finish. Devil may cry is one of the greatest series of all time and we need a fifth.

Any other Devil may cry fans feeling the seem way?

Anyone scrounge up rumors besides the whole ninja theory one?

We still gotta keep our hopes high.

Didn't a game come out like 3 years ago? That doesn't really seem like such a long wait to me.

I don't think you relize just how great these games are. those 3 years feel like an eternity. Am not asking for one to come out soon. i Just want the fith game to be confirmed.

Devil May Cry 4 was pretty fun, but holy crap, the Capcom writers must all be on shrooms with a collective IQ of 60.

One moment in particular I found hilarious was at the front, right after Dante finishes blocking bullets with his sword and jumping all over the church and performing hundreds of impossibly inhuman feats and he (forgot his name) just asks "You're not human are you?" Lol, kids a fucking genius.

I don't see the point now. The series feels dated by now, with the same sort of thing done better by games like God of War and Darksiders.

While I'd like a Devil May Cry 5 that further refines gameplay (and am I the only one who wants the atmosphere of the first game to make a comeback?), I can go without it if the story isn't worth it.

Personally I want the gameplay of DMC 3 with the story of 1 and 2. I miss my incredibly over the top insane sped combos from DMC3...

If you mean dated as in the games hard and games shouldnt be anymore then i see your point. God of war the enemies in it basicly wait for you to destroy them (wich is incredibly easy) and stupid quik time events and button mashing. Then darksiders is even worse. What you just said had to one of the crazyiest things i've seen somone say. No offence though am sure your a great guy but the gamer side of you am not liking to much.. lol

Yeah, I'm feeling the same way. D: I really want DMC5 news to start coming out. It's been long enough. The other DMCs haven't had this much of even a release gap, have they? (meaning they came out within 3 years of each other or so)

But as long as Nero comes back, I'll be happy. :)

I would love a DMC 5 but they really have to make sure that they dont make a backtrack again.

I doubt there'll be a DMC 5 tbh, the story of 4 was meh at best and gameplay-wise it's been bettered by the likes of God of War. If they do make a 5th game though, Dante needs to be the main character, asides from the power glove attacks, Nero was lame..

God of wars gameplay is complete trash. Devil may cry basicly invented the gener and perfected it. it requires timing stratigy and creativity. God of war is just use that whirlwind attack or a few other attacks to pretty much blow through 90% of the encounters and then for the bosses well there easy enough..

Well, in Nero's defense, he was doing most of that stuff too, and he is human, so you at least have to give him that one. (even though he WAS an idiot)

OT: I haven't heard anything about it, but they might possibly do something at E3 next month.
...One can only hope...

I never enjoyed the series, though two of my best friends are in love with it. The story always just seemed ridiculous (not necessarily in a good way), the combat got stale quickly for me, and I honestly don't enjoy Dante's character that much. Nothing really appeals to me.

I'd like it to be announced just to shut my friends up though. Personally, I couldn't care less.

Just play Bayonetta while you wait. From what it seems, its pretty much the same thing.

Eh, I think the series' best days are past. The 4th one was pretty fun with the new demon hand thing, but otherwise was so-so.

I wouldn't mind a 5th one, but I'm not exactly wishing for one.

Eh, I'm more concerned with other games like Fable 3 and Fallout: New Vegas to pay much attention to DMC at the moment. I've only actually played 3 (Which was impossibly difficult) and 4.

Well, I think a fifth game would be interesting, and I'm sure it'd be fine to play, but the series to me has had its heyday. Devil May Cry 3 was about as close to perfect as the series will get, methinks, and 4 didn't come close to it in terms of gameplay, plot or music, so while a new game would be nice to hear of, I wouldn;t be overly bothered if a new one was never announced.
