To start off this post, I'll have to admit that before Skyrim I didn't care or know much about The Elder Scrolls beyond the fact that it was another RPG by Bethesda, the makers of Fallout: New Vegas, which was and still is a game I love to an almost fanatical level.
A few weeks before Skyrim's release I started following it more and more, to a point where I became convinced I wanted to buy it, but not so much that I'd get it anytime in the near future. So I decide to wait for Christmas so I could get it at reduced price on Steam.
So far, I'm not coping well.
I've tried to make a point to not watch any videos or look at any screenshots for obvious reasons, and although this alone would probably be fine I can't help but READ about it EVERYWHERE. And now that I have, and I hear all about what awesome stuff this guy did and how that guy's a werewolf and she chopped three skeletons in half with an axe and there're DRAGONS and whatnot, it's becoming more and more difficult to hold back.
I'm not in a financially stable position for the time being, so it would be irresponsible - and actually just about impossible - to buy Skyrim right now, but the temptation remains.
So my question to the forum is thus;
WHAT DO I DO.
Do I cave and buy it, probably meaning a slight money issue somewhere down the line, is it really that good of a game? Or do I hold out and keep fighting the temptation with large doses of New Vegas, Assassin's Creed, and Indie games?
Alternatively, does anyone know a way for me to buy Skyrim cheap? I already checked my local department stores, and noone's offering any deals. (And no, I will not torrent it.)
