I completely had this coming, but it's hilarious.
In my first (and only, because I'm still on hiatus from after this world got deleted by accident) house, I had an underground base with a huge wooden tower pretty much for the lulz. Eventually, I found some lava. I got the idea to play with it a bit before I tried some kind of lava-moat-trap thing somewhere. So, I go out into my yard, in front of the tower, and dump it out my bucket. For whatever reason, I go back inside, leaving the lava, for another bucket to see if I can scoop the lava back up in two blocks (I was fairly new at the time). The tunnel leading from the main room to the tower's basement had a glass ceiling so I could save torches and tell time indoors. I grabbed a bucket and headed back through the tunnel, glanced up at the sun... which I couldn't see because it was obscured by a towering column of fire that seemed to be where the tower used to be. It was glorious.
I later rebuilt that tower... not in cobblestone or brick, like a smarter man, but in wonderful wooden planks.
