Just a question. What was the strangest/funnest project in your opinion that you had to do anytime during school?

Mine was making a comedy out of a Shakespeare play. That still had to stick to the origin.

Here's the link if you want to see the project we had to do.(sorry if there is no linking to youtube allowed on this bored. 0_0)

So what's your strangest/funnest project you had to do for school?

I made a shoulder-fired gastrophetes for my Latin II class.
That was an awesome project.
I'm not calling it a crossbow because it was too crappy for that name.

I was in a very minor role in a school production of A Midsummer Night's Dream a few years back. Except our drama teacher decided that because we were doing it near Christmas, it would become A Midwinter Night's Dream. Oh, and he decided to change it so it was set in the 70's, and everyone was dressed in 70's style clothes and we had to dance to such classics as 'Night Fever' and 'The Last Dance'. Brilliant, but strange. Fun though :).

Then again, this was the same teacher I had for three years for English (Literature for the third year). And he was pretty crazy anyway. Great guy though, especially to debate with, especially since there were only six of us in his class for the third year. I recall an extremely funny lesson regarding Napoleon, Lord Byron, and 'Penis Envy'...

I had to do a rap about Andrew Jackson and the spoils system... last week. It was bitchin', I got an "A", and everyone likes me now. I say it was well worth it.

I had to make a rap song (in french) about french culture.

If you want me to post it, I burned all evidence of it ever existing.

We had to write a speech in the style of Jonathon Swift's "A Modest Proposal" (a satirical essay in which he argues that the children of the poor should be sold to the rich to be eaten). We had to propose something insane and than argue in its favour. I proposed wiping out the third world and using their bodies for fuel and fertilizer and their fat for soap and explosives. A mate of mine proposed hiring the populations of Asia to work in bicycle-power-plants.

It was a fun project which made an English class tolerable.

My basement is still home to the wedgie machine I devised for a simple machines project in middle school. It is savage, elegant, and hilarious.

One of my english professors would start class with us doing free writing. Basically we'd freeform write whatever entered our brain at the time. It wasn't in itself strange but I wrote some pretty weird shit.

Well I have this class I go to on a Mondays, which involves teaching us about teamwork and other cooperative things in media. We have to do many projects in class, all within a time limit and working together.

These projects only started before Christmas and the first one we did, was build a chair out of balloons and tape. We had over an hour to do it and then one of us had to sit on the chair for thirty seconds it was successful. The project that we are planning to do next is, make a bridge out of spaghetti. No I?m not joking, the class is great.

Lucky. I wanted to build one in IA, but they wouldn't me let because of liability. Sucks.

I don't think I've had any strange projects. My school is so short on money they can barely afford to stick to the curriculum, much less make it interesting.

I got to go to Six Flags (it's a place like Pleasure Beach Blackpool for those in the UK, Warner Bros. Movie World for my Aussie Escapist brethren) for an entire school day for free, as part of what Six Flags billed as "Physics Appreciation Day." I went with all the students taking Physics in my high school.

123 acres, or 1/2 square kilometer of roller coasters and thrill rides for a full 10-hour day. Pretty sweet.

I had to do a report on a book, and then we had the option to make a project that demonstrated that we had read that book.

I made a movie of the book "Hatchet", Except though I had a budget lower than an Uwe Boll project and yet it was recognized for its humor (the Sad part: It was completely accidental, I never meant it to be humorous)

Needless to say, I got an award for going above and beyond on any book report my class made and I had an A for the rest of the class.

Awesome, yet it fulfills the "Strange" part.
