I've noticed a few strange things lately, and I'd like to share them and see what other strange things you people have noticed. For example:

- Recently, I realized that the names "Don" and "Dawn" are pronounced almost the same way.

- I just noticed that Matt Damon from the Bourne series has the same lips as my commander Shepard (Femshep, by the way).

- I haven't had television in nearly 2 months, and I haven't really missed it much at all.

- Google Docs is the greatest thing to have ever happened to my Word Documents.

- Pinterest is the worst thing to have ever happened to my free time.

So, anything strange you've picked up on lately?

I think that's only if your accent is American. If it's British English "Don" and "Dawn" sound quite distinct. I think you'll need quite a southern drawl to make "Don" sound anything like "Dawn".

I found i didn't need a television set for all the three years i was at uni, the internet itself provides plenty of entertainment and even if i did want to watch a TV chances are i could watch it online (free and legally) anyway via BBC I-Player, ITV player or 4oD. I only need a television to play video games on, although if i was being frugal i could still play them on my laptop screen.

On topic, i can't actually think of anything strange that i've noticed recently. :/

If i think of something though i'll edit this post.

Why would you need a southern drawl? Standard American works just fine...

OT: I just found out that I have attached earlobes, which is apparently kind of rare

Do you mean that even in a standard American accent Don and Dawn sound similar?

Also, is it true that American's have problems pronouncing the name "Laura"? I remember reading that the original name of Lara Croft was Laura Croft, but it was changed to Lara to make it easier for Americans to say apparently.

Minute Maid lemonade has 240 calories. I realized this after drinking my second one yesterday. I thought I was doing better to my body by not drinking soda

They're really not that rare, at least in most ethnic groups. Sorry to burst your bubbles'. They look better imo, won't get all saggy and gross when we're old.

For question one yes. In the Pacific coast/Midwest accent they pronounce them pretty much the same. For question 2 idk. I don't have any trouble saying it. Maybe because lara is a less common name here? I don't know why that would make a difference though.

Marter never posted an youtube video about the scorpion king 3.
Hey! Yes, I have.

Just not recently. So I'll rectify that. Here's the trailer for The Scorpion King 3, as requested in this thread. (I don't even have to bring it up anymore!)

Well, I just noticed a couple of days ago that I tend to grab my right arm or my ribcage like if I was hurt, when I'm nervous, just when I was starting to think I'd be good at poker, it turns out I do have a tell -.-'

I found that, when I ran the numbers, most of the threads on this forum have between a 7-8:100 comment to views ratio.

Jean jackets.
I mean, what the hell?

Why is it acceptable for women to wear jean jackets around and not dudes? The last male human I saw wearing a jean jacket was some kid at a truckstop up in Maine, and I'm not even sure that counts. I just want to flaunt my sweet denim duds, but social stigmas against men in jean jackets are forming a societal lockout.
We need equality, and we need it now.

American men would have to give up their addiction to jeans before donning a denim jacket and not looking silly. Leave the Canadian tuxedos to the Canadians.

No, you have to be lying... No way he directed something that good. The film about the prison? And the SEAL team trying to stop a poison bomb and there's a ransom? Cage and Connery?

Wikipedia says you're not lying. Fuck.

OT: I haven't watched TV in ages. Remember that digital switchover a while ago? My TV in my room is still unadjusted to it because it's automatically on my 360's channel and I haven't bothered to sort it out.

I've noticed I like to fixate onto one or two things primarily when i'm interested in them. Super hard. I NEED MORE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS CONTENT ON YOUTUBE GODDAMMIT! It's been half a day since i've seen someone commentate over their own gameplay on how bad their team is when they're not doing too well themselves! This is unacceptable! It takes me ages to Burnout on anything completely if at all.

[sub]If anyone gets that shitty reference you are both a gentleman and a scholar[/sub]

I also stack my manga for about 2 months because reading a 15-18 page issue as soon as it comes out is really quite annoying to me because I haz sik as hek reding speedz yo'

For example issue 192 of TWGOK has been on my tabs for ages. Only read though it all when it hit 202 yesterday.

For the record, somehow it's only getting better.

They've started a new arc and it's still riding that sweet spot where the story is progressing nicely, he's developing the main character where he's moving slightly into an actual sort of maybe decent human being without ruining the core anti-socialness of his character.

Y'know, like the anime did.
