Hi all!

Today is my birthday and I decided to visit Escapist for some news and other stuff. I saw there was a message in my inbox.

So I checked it and out of the blue, this gentleman "PsychicTaco115"sent me a message saying: Happy Birthday !

I don't know this guy and I'm not that active on the forums either so I'm not "known" or anything. But this message really made my day. I'm gonna smile for a week now :)

And this inspired me to make this thread.

So...
What is the most awesome, kind or nice thing a total stranger have ever done for you?
Or what is the most awesome, kind or nice thing you have ever done to a total stranger?

My example must be the above... Never have a total stranger done something like that :)
(english is not my first language)

PsychicTaco115 huh... you know it's a conspiracy right?
A very nice conspiracy but that guy just wants to control the masses,
[sub][sub]He's a nice guy, I'm glad he made you happy.[/sub][/sub]

Happy late birthday by the way!

OT: I'm having a hard time thinking of something nice someone has done for me... that's kind of sad.
I will edit as soon as I think of something.

Edit: When I totaled my first car (I had a tire blowout while going about 70 mph, hit a guardrail), and I was sitting on the side of the road because that's conviently where my car landed, a guy pulled over and sat with me until highway patrol arrived. I told him he didn't need to, but he said there was nothing he needed to do that day that couldn't wait. That was nice of him, especially since I was actually pretty shaken up about the whole thing.

I heard him say he was going to wish people a happy birthday! That's great! Happy belated birthday!

OT: I think I may have posted this before, but one time during a very shit day in a very shit year for me (don't ask) an older fellow stopped to ask me for directions. I told him and he thanked me, but then he looked at me and said "Have a wonderful day... and don't let life get you down. I'll be rooting for you."

He's the only person who noticed anything was wrong that entire year D:

...or at least was the only who cared enough to say anything.

Awwwh, good ol' Taco :D happy birthday!

the only one I can remember is when I was having a bad day, my mum sent me to the shops to buy her cigarettes (which didnt help my mood at all >.>) While I was there I had to show my passport to prove I was old enough to buy them, and she said "Oh, your hair is different in this photo, can I see?"

I was wearing a hat 'cause I couldnt be arsed to shower before going, but I did take my hat off, and she said "Wow, it looks a lot better now!"

Took me by surprise,it did cheer me up. :I

I've had a few people pull over to offer me lifts. (I turned them down because I needed the exercise, but I appreciated the offer all the same.) That's about it.

I'm not pretty enough to inspire generosity from random strangers.

One time my stepdad and I got a boat stuck in shallow water (the lake was low) and a man saw us from his dock and swam 1/4 mile to come help us get it out :p

Well, recently I was having some trouble with a rebellious vending machine that wouldn't accept the last 5p I needed to purchase what I wanted, nor would it give me my money back when I pressed the change button. After a while of trying a stranger approaches and gives me 20p so I can buy something. A small gesture, yes, but refreshingly pleasant of someone to do that out of the blue.

Also www.steamgifts.com is a place full of strangers giving gifts to each other. Sure, some are there just to exploit the system and leach as much as they can, but there are plenty of generous individuals giving away well beyond what I would ever have expected from an internet community.

Kindness I've shown to a stranger-
I was in the toliet at the supermarket and when I was about to leave, I notice the old man behind me and he look quite frail. I hold the door our for him twice and on the second door holding he pretty called me the king of all kings for my kindess (yes I know that's odd but the town we were shopping in is abit of a rough place so I guessing others weren't so nice to him).

Kindness of a strange shown to me-
A guy offer me to sit at his spot in the subway as a kid during my trip in Hong Kong). However he could of done that to get me to shut up (I was shouting abit as I was tried from standing up all day).
