Strategy Games: World in Conflict or Sins of a Solar Empire

Right now both Sins and World in Conflict are on sale on Steam. I would buy both, but i bought Max Payne and Diablo on day 1 and can't really justify to myself buying both....


So, escapists.

Which should i buy if i can only buy 1 of them?

If you really like strategy then Sins, but if you prefer to just sit back and enjoy the pretty ... actually that is still better in Sins.

If you like tanks and pretty then WiC.

I haven't played Sins, but I have played World in Conflict.

It's very pretty for an RTS, and I certainly had fun with it. I think my biggest gripe was how short it was. I think I paid like $25 for it when I bought it, and I don't regret the purchase.

It's much more action than strategy, though. Lots of airstrike and artillery support while you defend or rush command points.

I love both games, but ultimately, I prefer World in Conflict based on the strength of it ssingle player, the one part where Sins fails tremendously. You see, WiC has a really cool campaign, whereas Sins only has skirmish mode against the computer and nothing more, it's very multiplayer-oriented.

I'd go with WiC.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion is coming out soon. It's forty dollars to preorder, but it has everything up to Rebellion included in it. I'd go for that, since it is a pretty good deal.

World in Conflict, then get Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion when it comes out (June I think)

WiC has a fantastic single player campaign, and SOASE is really fun in skirmish (but fuck wormholes, seriously)
