What are some subjects that you absolutely hate to talk about in conversation?

I don't like bringing up the subject of games in the company of my parents, since they don't see games the same way I do. They like old super nintendo stuff, and don't understand my fascination with newer games.

What are some things you hate to speak of?

I'm pretty open to talking about anything. I may not always be the most knowledgeable about the subject, but if I know enough to have an opinion, I'll gladly share when asked.

Unless I'm really close to someone, I won't bring up my personal life at all. Especially things that are really close to my heart. Because of this, many believe I'm emotionless and heartless, which people who are close to me know, this isn't the truth.

I tend to avoid talking about sex and such around girls.

I know it's odd, but I was raised at a very young age to always be prime and polite around a lady.

However, while I do tend to talk about everything else, sex is sorta....the one thing I won't talk about, unless they bring it up, or I know the girl well.

Politics. Seriously, I've been told way too often that I'm a naive whippersnapper who has no idea how the world has to work just because I believe in true equality in a workplace (apparently, asking for people to not be judged on racial sounding names and sexual preference is too much). Oh, and Prop 8 deserved to pass because "those fags circumvented the entire judiciary process" in order to get married.

God in school, or when people are trying to be "deep" in my school.. (If people can actually discuss something good about it I will gladly talk about it, but in my schools case, no.)

I don't hate God or religion, but I just hate the people who talk about it and act like they give a shit. Today in class the same kid who intentionally gets bad grades in school, does drugs, mistreats girls, steals, and acts like an ass to anyone he feels like randomly says, "look at this man, look at all we have, god put us on this earth, look at the opportunities, we are animals man, and god made us this way" and starts babbling on about stupid shit that had nothing to do what he said. The thing that pisses me off though is that people actually jumped on the bandwagon and started discussing this shit, acting like the have any idea what they are talking about.

Also when girls start talking about how good Twilight is I die on the inside.

Then again now I am just ranting, I should stop now.

I hate talking politics. Having the same opinion as someone doesn't lead to very interesting conversation and disagreeing with someone rarely has a good outcome. Most of the time neither party leaves with a changed or even more informed point of view. Of course there are times when people have civil conversation, they don't happen often enough and don't really change anyone's mind either.

Anything, really. I hate talking about anything I like to a specific person because they'll start obsessing over it and eventually ruin it for me. I hate talking about my feelings to my mum because she says they aren't real.

I hate talking about games around my friends, since none of them play games. Ah wait, Guitar Hero. Oh, and about my fathers' death, but not because it makes me upset or anything-- I've long since numbed to that --but because everyone else gets quiet or apologizes to me. It's weird.

EDIT: Oh, and I hate talking about books because someone ALWAYS recommends me to The Host by Stephanie Meyer, because it seems like 'my type of book'. While I'm talking about Hannibal.

Anytime someone in my family asks me if I have a job yet. I'm still in school and I will get a job when I'm done, please stop asking me! Personally I have no idea why I have an aversion to getting a job, maybe my experience working at Sobeys soured my opinion of the work force.

Yeah, I also have a hard time talking about books. Since I'm mostly into franchise fiction, I have a hard time talking about books that aren't Star Wars.

Sex isn't a topic I like to discuss, except occasionally with close friends.

That and discussing comedy tv shows gets on my nerves. I don't mind watching them, like Family Guy is pretty funny but like it's a disposable show in my opinion, good for one, maybe two views, and certainly not entertaining enough to bring up in conversation again later on. *sigh*

I don't like "girl talk" or whatever it is you call that mindless chatter noise girls make sometimes.

Not that I don't like talking to girls, I'd just rather it be about something more interesting then your goddamn nails. I have a pretty disdainful countenance, I always wonder why people think I'm up for small talk.

Oh: It's not because I think I'm above it (Ok, maybe a bit) but I'm generally just *bad* at it.
