Back when I was a kid, I would trek into the city on a Saturday morning to see what new games were out for my trusty old Amstrad CPC home computer. Week after week, I tried to get a copy of The Way of the Exploding Fist on cassette (Google it) and returned empty handed, presumably as the one or two copies in the shops sold out before my arrival.
These days, it seems you don’t even need to wait until a game is released before somebody has their grubby hands on it. Yesterday, we reported that Forza Horizon 6 was already available on High Seas, while at the same time, the new Lego Batman game was able to be played early due to an error at the development end. We also saw traces out in the wild of Directive 8020 ahead of its scheduled launch time.
