Such a great Valentine's day.... or is it?

So I was sitting here thinking about the absolutely, positively, shitty day I have had so far. I woke up at 6 in the morning for a grand total of 4 hours of sleep and couldn't get back to sleep because I had too much on my mind. So I got up to play some F.E.A.R. 2 (Which I had just gotten the night before) and I got the Red Rings after 2 matches. Then I get on my computer to do some stuff and remembered that my best friend has just gone through a brake up and she is really sad. This makes me feel like a douche bag because I have liked her for over a year and I have kind of, deep down wanted them to brake up and now that they have I feel terrible. And last but not least is that my other best friend's parents are going through a divorce and he is taking it really hard.

So, come one, come all, share you Valentine's day (or pre Valentine's week). Whether it be good or bad, let's talk about it. We can share in the Joy and support each other in the pain.

Same as every other valentine's day I've witnessed so far. People acting stupid in the days before, sending each other cards and roses for no other reasons than some arbitrarily assigned day.

Really, if you're really in love with someone, you don't need a day like this to do something special.

Huh. Well, that's just terrible luck, sorry man. Valentine's Day kinda sucks for me too this year as my girlfriend is spending a semester in India, so she's 9000 miles away, but I got to talk to her, so that's good. Also, I'm going out to eat with a group of friends then watching a play, so I think it'll work out ok.

I'm tempted to just say "Today I got chocolate from my dad!" (which is true, and sounds wonderfully pathetic), but I did get a lovely phone call ever so early in the morning. And the weather is awesome. So complain I will not. Sure beats the shit out of last year, when I wanted to break up with a guy but didn't want to get labeled 'that girl who dumped me right before Valentine's Day'. Stupid romantic holidays...

Wow, I think that's one of the worst Valentine's Days I've heard of. If it makes you feel any better at all, I had to get up at 5:00 after 4 hours of sleep to go to work for 9 hours with no lunch break. It was a shitty day at work, but at least I'm done now. Unfortunately, my family is out so I have to fend for myself for food and entertainment for the rest of the night.
