Suggest to me a (good) WW2 game that's not Call of Duty.

My school band is playing Band of Brothers, and so my teacher gave us this big long talk about WW2 that got me in the mood for some WW2 gaming. I've got COD 3 and didn't like it or World at War much so I'm on the search for something else. Preferably FPS and on the 360, but I've a DS and a crappy computer too so anything that works on either of those work too (kind of). Let the suggestions roll. Thanks.

EDIT: I forgot, I also own Battlefield 1943, and I want something with a strong single player campaign.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault [PC]

Doesn't involve a lot of infantry combat like Call of Duty, as much of it involves solo missions infiltrating Nazi facilities/bases/etc., but it still remains one of of my absolute favorite WW2-themed FPSs.

Battlefield 1943. It's a multiplayer only game set in three locations in the Pacific Campaign: Iwo Jima, Wake Island, and Guadalcanal.

I really doubt that's what you're looking for, but it's the only WWII game I own...

company of heroes is a WWII rts thats done really well. Realism is insane in that game. ive heard good things about order of war but havent played it yet.

as for WWII fps' i cant recommend much beyond call of duty and the brothers in arms series.

Resistance is awesome, and it's kinda set around that time. I know you said no CoD but have you tried the first one? You probably didn't 3 and 5 because Treyarch ruin things. I'm pretty sure you can download Call of Duty Classic it from XBLA too.

The Medal of Honor series was actually my favorite first person shooters until I got Timesplitters. I highly recommend MoH: Frontlines or if you have a friend to play with MoH:Rising Sun.

Oh, but the coop on Rising Sun is only split-screen as far as I know. I only ever owned them on the Gamecube.

Turning Point: fall of liberty.

I love how it takes place in an alternate WW2 if Nazi's won the war in Europe.

BAND OF BROTHERS -SQUEAL-

Company Of Heroes. And Medal Of Honour: Frontlines.

All these WW2 sound so similar.

Red Orchestra. Though it might not really remind you of Band of Brothers, it's quite a fun multiplayer for the Eastern Front.
I know you said not Call of Duty, but have you really only played the Treyarch ones? 1 and 2 are easily some of the best WW2 games out there (and 1 tries to copy Band of Brothers and Enemy at the Gates quite well).

Try the first Medal of Honor, or Medal of Honor: Underground. Sure, they're ugly as sin, graphics-wise, but the stealth bits are absolutely intense, and the shooty action holds up relatively well.

They're making a new Medal of Honor game, so you may have to wait a while, but...

Try that.
The new one won't be WW2.
Damn it all, that'll teach me to read an article beyond it's headline. That sounds ridiculous, in that case.

Brothers In Arms series is a definite. They're squad based shooters and are quite challenging.
