As the title implies, I am looking for a new headset to get. However, I really want to listen to music as well as use it while I play games. What is a good pair that is under the $100 dollar mark that satisfies both?

Everytime I see one of these threads I feel obliged to recommend some Logitech G930s. Had a quick look on eBay and it seems the cheapest they come new is $100 plus postage...if not them then the wired G35 version which is marginally cheaper. They're pretty gosh darn good is all.

I got the SoundBlaster Tactic 3D Rage. It was 64 euro's here, so quite a bit cheaper. And for 100 dollars you can probably get better, like mentioned above. But I have no complaints about mine at all. Great sound (Not fantastic I reckon, but as an audiophile I have no complaints), great customization with the program that you can download for it, comfortable ear pieces and headband. The only slight downside is that it's a bit on the heavy side. So after 3+ hours of having it on my head it gets a bit annoying.

If you get a SoundBlast Tactic 3D, remember not to get the Alpha model - it's cheaper than the Sigma, but has muddy sound at mid-low volume and is made of plastic components that will break more easily (e.g. the headband). I've been using the Tactic 3D Sigma, its more robust metal counterpart, for several months now. It's still comfortable even if I wear it for about 3-4 hours at a time. The sound quality and surround are great for games and music. You can easily choose between several presets or customize your own by adjusting the sliders in the included program.
