So here we are, it's summer and it's disgustingly hot, me and my friend have NOTHING to do, already did our summer trips and now we're out of stuff to do.
Since we're both avid ps3 gamers we were thinking of good long games that could carry us through this summer.
This is a list of some of the games we already played/finished/platinumed:

- inFamous 1/2
- TES: Oblivion
- Demon's Souls
- Dragon Age:: Origins
- Fallout 3 (DLCs too) and NV
- SW TFU I and II
- Dead Space I and II
- various CODS
- GT5
- Batman: Arkham Asylum
- Portal 1/2
- AC I, II and Brotherhood
- Red Dead Redemption
- Brink

Got any suggestions to what we could play next that is good AND decently long?
We're not really into JRPGs, such as White Knight Chronicles

Red Dead Redemption and the assassins creed games are pretty awesome if you like more open world games.
Colin Mcrae DIRT is a great racing game if you're into that sort of thing (the first one, didnt really like the second)
Also you should check out Mass Effect 2, it should be pretty cheap by now and has lots of replay value.

EDIT: Also Portal 1+2 are great :)

Here I am in Summer in Kent, England. At the moment is raining and miserable outside. Enjoy the sunshine, must be something for you to do?

...Fallout 3 / New Vegas, it'll last for days

Don't know man, 42°C suck donkey balls from my point of view, I LOVE rain, wanna trade?

EDIT: it's one of those little towns where there isn't really much to do, got a tiny mall with a Gamestop (THANK GOD) and a few stores here and there, it's pretty gay.

And this is why if you don't read the OP you shouldn't bother posting.

OT: I'd reccomend Borderlands, takes a decent amount of time. Mass Effect 2, although I personally do not like it is VERY cheap at game stores (This has something to do with it being for sale online for dirt cheap). You could always get a multiplayer like Crysis, and if you have computers there is League of Legends, and Team Fortress 2 which are both F2P and not hard to spend hours in.

I heard Borderlands is kind of repetitive though, is that true? Still, I'll put it on the "to try" list of games, thanks!
My friend isn't a big fan of PC games, I could play forever with TF2, but we were thinking something together, since I'll be living in his house for the next month and a half :)

Well it's winter in Australia, cold and very windy where I am.

Anyway, I recommend Ratchet and Clank, to understand the story better play Tools of Destruction then A Crack in Time, or if you just want some explosive fun and platforming go for either, they're both good.

Problem is they're not exactly long but that really depends on how you play them.

Otherwise you could try Resistance and Resistance 2? The co-op in Resistance 2 is really fun to play with friends, especially online if you have a full party of eight.

Yes, Borderlands can be repetitive.

Now if you are going to sharing the house I'd definentely have to recommend some multiplayer, if you wanna get a easy to learn hard to master fighting game I'd really recommend you atleast rent Mortal Kombat or Marvel vs Capcom. As far as FPS goes Crysis is a nice break away from CoD as i said, but alas CoD BO has online multiplayer so you cant really beat it. Alas RPG wise I am of little help unless it involves a mouse n keyboard.
