Anyone else just notice this?

Was Browsing Greenlight and kinda stumbled on it, And well, Instantly fell in love. Seems it was one of the 7day FPS games, and once again just highlights how I really should remember the date for next year, Again.

Anyhoo, what do you guys think? Tried the demo yet?

I've played the 7Day FPS entry and liked it. But it was also very short.

I do wonder if the central mechanic of 'time only moves when you do' is enough to carry an entire game. From what I've played and what is shown in that trailer, there's not a whole lot of inventive ways of using it and it could become tiresome pretty quickly.

I agree that even if produced into a full fledged game, I doubt with the mechanics show in the demo you could push it past 45 odd minutes before it becomes extremely boring, but then again it was made in 7 days for a jam challenge, Given real time I can see several ways of expanding the gameplay mechanic.

But then that's just another wait and see reply I guess >.>

Watching that clip I had one thought, boy you would be hard to hit.

I mean, if you make the bullets move, unless you do not see the shooter there is no reason for you to really every be in danger of getting shot since safety is one "bullet time" sidestep away.

Does look very clean though, and certainly one of the newer concepts I have seen.

Not necessarily. With some good tight game design you can make it so bullets will come at you in patterns meant to corner you, so that if you don't anticipate correctly or move the wrong way you will have nowhere left to move.

Also: Bullets move some distance after they're fired automatically, so you're very vulnerable in close-quarters.
And, time *DOES* move when your hands are off the keyboard and mouse, albeit very slowly (Again, made more pronounced by watching the bullets.), time also moves at its normal clip when you simply look around.

I'll be the fist to admit I'm not great at FPSs, but I certainly got killed more than a couple of times.

Ah, I see what you are saying. That would be an interesting addition, almost adds a bit of puzzle/strategy to the game.

Good idea!

Just played the demo, had a very Hotline Miami feel to the combat. Like Hotline Miami with Bullet Time. May play it again when I'm less tired, because it's hard for me to put the reason why the slo-mo works into words. Felt really good just scraping a hail of bullets.

Actually when I was recording A short LP on the demo, Re-watching I did notice more often than not I was moving in a odd pattern of sidesteps, twists and it does feel really more like a puzzle.

Also I Agree with Full, Does have a strong Hotline Miami feel.
